Official 2015 Super Rugby Thread

Absolute crap second half of rugby from both sides.

Bulls set pieces are in shambles. Serious problems there.

Am much as I got this almost spot on on Superbru. I hate the Bulls losing this game, they could have won.

Bulls playing crap. If they want to get somewhere they will seriously have to get a different game plan.

I don't think it's the game plan. They just not fit and agile enough in the front to chase after the backline mauls. When I backline player hits contact there is no forward support unless someone was standing off in the line. They need to work hard on their fitness, this is the biggest issue here. They don't have the stamina.

Whew that refereeing decision towards the end where the Hurricanes played the scrumhalf was shockingly bad. But it was nowhere near as bad as Hattingh making a schoolboy error by trying to shield his fall by stretching out his hand over the tryline.

The Hurricanes had an excellent time in South Africa by just winning because of opposition mistakes. Though that try by Savea was amazing. It's what makes him probably the best wing in the world right now.

The Hurricanes are also so much smarter than their South African opposition. I hope they do well this year.

Now may the Stormers do well because so far the South African conference is looking pretty dismal.

With Vermeulen on top form and fit as a fiddle. I can't see any team trumping or defending his loose breaks and ball support. Rugby is not a one man sport, but if you have a Loose Forward in top form it help a hell of a lot.

My opinion and observation is based on their game against the Sarries. They should have never opted to play their own test game against a non-regular Sarries team. They put up a massive score with a 12 man rotational substitute bench and still managed to tire each and every player within 65 minutes, the Sarries then had 15 minutes to make Bulls mince. The media and public then carried the Bulls above everything rugby, punting experience in every corner.

Last week Province opened up the Bulls, exploiting the weakness that the Bulls cannot withstand 80 minutes in play. Today the same, though they had the game they still threw it away.

Why didn’t they play real warmup matches, I can say the very same about the Sharks?

At least the Sharks and Bulls will clash next week, their shortcomings will be well balanced. As I previously said, the Bulls will struggle now and regain their position later, the same with the Sharks.

The best game plan in the world means zip when you can't get the basics right.

The Bulls need to 1. Learn to hold onto the ball and not have it spill forward when tackled, and 2. Learn to keep the ball alive by passing it, rather than running dead.
