im presuming if i go to that modaco rom i lose Sense? do you still have sense on yours?
 
No way you lose sense don't worry. Remember Modacos ROM's are based on shipping ROM's from HTC so it will look exactly the same.

I am slightly confused and worried (trepidation :o)..

My phone info is as follows:

Baseband Version: 63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18
Kernel Version: 2.6.27-8dd6deee htc-kernel@and18-2
Build Number: 2.73.421.5 146733 CL#61267 release keys
Software Version: 1.0.0.A6288

The link you posted has so many versions of different things that it is somewhat confusing for me (perhaps others)..

What files do I need to use? Like which radio (baseband) files could I use?
What do I need to do to get mine as 'awesome' as yours?

ok ive found there is just TOOOO much info on the net.

modaco site sent me off to install flash recovery. so i automatically presumed this was right. but then i got errors of "downloading 'boot.img'... FAILED (remote: not allow)"

googling that i got info that my phone is not rooted yet.

so is the procedure

rom

You don't do anything with your SPL. You should create goldkey, then you need to downgrade your rom. And then you can install the recovery image! After you have recovery then you will be able to load the custom rom's.
 
The Unlockr was the easiest for me to follow, because you have the videos too. You guys need to follow the guide on page 11. Haha! @ Identity, the newest radio should be loaded but this only happens after you downgraded and you can boot to the recovery screen if you hold Home+Power. And read what I said on page 11 - download the alternative RUU,with the link i gave there too... This is basically just the official worldwide ROM from HTC.

Lol! Can't create Goldkey without that sorry. Because you need to edit the card with the Hex editor. Otherwise you can't downgrade! I have a spare one, but I live in Potch.
 
agreed. and until the sun comes up and the shops open so i can get a card reader im pretty poked .... damnnnnn
 
I DID IT !!!!!!

with this method, and then i put on modaco rom. managed without getting that card reader
 
Haha! Awesome finally.. from now on all the installs will be a breeze for you. So did you just mount the card with the cable?
