R450 is not that bad. Considering a Blu-ray will set you back R250ish and it will only last you 1 and 1/2 hour. You can watch it again, but I guarantee you everything is going to be exactly the same with the same ending. This is money well spent for entertainment that will last for months. Heck, I spend R450 for 2 hours at Ocean basket on Friday evening.

I am assuming you didn't buy CODMW2? ;) I paid R485 for that and then bought both DLCs @ R115 a pop. Then again, I do have 1088 hours on CODMW2, so well worth it. :D
Nope I didn't. still its just so much I can go buy some RAM for that price. (you can never have enough ram)

Maybe I'll buy it next year, when the price has come down.

So lets hope it is 12:00 for us!!!!!

Man, would be totally peeved if its not 12:00. I mean, surely Steam can determine what bloody country you are in and allow you to play the game the same time as the retail versions go live?!

Well, many of us purchased the game digitally off Steam and have it preloaded on our machines.

Now reports are starting to surface which indicate that the retail versions will be playable at 12 while Steam downloaded versions will only go live in 20 hours!?

Bummed to say the least, but still not 100% sure what is happening.

Looks like its going to be a repeat of Modern Warfare 2.
Retails copies of the game can play the game before people like us who have bought it and preloaded it to play on Steam.

You know what they say - its only a mistake if you don't learn from it, and if they are going to do it the same way as MW2, HUGE mistake.

I doubt that. The CD/DVD version is the exact same version with only one difference, you do not need to download the content instead it install from dvd.
The time on steams store site is the official release time world wide - hence the 18 odd hours to go. If they would show 2hours - people in the US think they will be able to play - but they cant as it is still the 8th for them when we are already on the 9th.

Peeps, hang tide, it will be playable just after 12pm and the servers will be up and running

We got in touch with MWEB CEO Rudi Jansen, who confirmed that from their side, everything is on track for the servers to go live. As long as Gameservers activate on time, the servers should be accessible shortly after midnight.

I highly doubt we'll be able to install and play after midnight, steam store page says 17 hours to go, otherwise we're going to wait till 6pm (Tuesday evening).

BUT, lets wait and see what happens.
