oh nice, im getting that asap. + new pc.

Dude, from what I have seen, you don't need a faster pc or better ping. :D Give the other guys a chance to kill you as well. :p

im with a 2.4 core2duo, 3gb ram, 8800gt(256mb) :(

altho i feel my pc should run this, as it did right after patch, no problems 60-70fps.
but the game just seems to get worse.
ive started to snipe cuz if people are 100 meters away i dont get stutter...
but when i go to smg or assualt i get to deal with 30 fps.

My fps average also changes a lot. One week it works perfect, the next its horrible.
If I delete config_mp and let the game make another one, it fixes my fps for a few days.
But then it gets worse again.
 
Just saw my first hacker. A guy called ****ingSlaughter. Sad thing was that he only won one map out of 5 or so, even though he was hacking :/

That does not sound good... Someone is obviously PO'd with me... LOL...
 
haha ... at least those of us who know the real slaughter know "whats what" ...


PS Slaughter ... did u play against someone after a heavy dop session maybe? ... I know how they end up (very funny to listen to if u not on the receiving end ;))
 
GUYS GUYS great news steam is busy downloading the new patch

<Updates to Call of Duty: Black Ops have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Call of Duty: Black Ops
MP Audio stuttering on certain systems.
Playercards sometimes not showing properly.
Added three Private Match Server Settings: Team Change, Team-Up Period, and Keep Balanced Teams.
Added Alternate Color Scheme for accessibility: Settings / Multiplayer / Player Name Indicator.
Changed Team-Up Period countdown interval to 10 seconds.
Combat Training sessions are no longer counted in Server Browser Unranked tab.
Friends on your team will now show as blue on your minimap.
Prevention of various exploits.
Objective markers localized for all languages.
Various stability improvements

<A Call of Duty: Black Ops player has made a video showing the huge advantage that hosting players have in Call of Duty: Black Ops. He and a friend face each other on a server and open fire at the same time using the in game clock. The hosting player wins. Every time.

The most shocking part of the video is the fact that from the non-hosting player's perspective, he's fired several bullets, but from the host's kill cam we see that the server hasn't registered any shots at all, showing that the lag between difference between the host and other players is slow enough to cut shots out of the game. In an arena as competitive as Call of Duty: Black Ops where every millisecond counts, hosting players have a startling advantage. Check out Holiday Doc's video below.



Fortunately dedicated servers cut out the problem. The video above is another example of how important dedicated servers are in keeping a multiplayer game competitive. Black Ops' dedicated server system may be restrictive, but we're getting a fairer game because of them. Console gamers aren't so lucky.>
 
Hey Rock .... Yeah, IN MW2 if the guy hosts has a bad line, he has a clear advantage. I know how true being host helps... Back when I got m VAC Ban on MW2 for running modded lobbies, in order to play again I had to use a VAC bypass application and then to play I always had to force host. Luckily I have a very stable 4mb line so all the pings were decent.... LOL this time round with BO, I'm even going of steer clear of mods (alltho it would seem they have a more "legit" existance in BO) Stick to the servers I know!

Not for a while now... I realised that I just do more harm than good... :)
 
so they released a new patch, i thought lets go have another go at this, cant ads down sights with rht mouse button , these guys are useless!
 
My internet is still fooked. :( Was playing SP last night. FYI, don't delete the config file for SP, you will loose your saved games. I had to start all over again. ;( I hope they fix the internet problem soon as I have a league game tomorrow and sunday.

BTW, ads = aim down sights. ;)
 
LOOOOOOLLLL....

WTF??? They fix a sound issue and screw up the gameplay... These guys are so FAIL it is not even funny...
 
Oh boy! Well I'm trying to not think about it. Will see what its like this afternoon. Hope it gets fixed!
 
Anybody having this problem? When I play MP it is fine than randomly (no fixed time) the screen freezes or the screen becomes a PICASSO painting with jagged colors EVERYWHERE. I tried to see if it was overheating system is running cool, Using ATI Driver 10.9.

This is the only game that does it?

System specs on sig.
