Anybody having this problem? When I play MP it is fine than randomly (no fixed time) the screen freezes or the screen becomes a PICASSO painting with jagged colors EVERYWHERE. I tried to see if it was overheating system is running cool, Using ATI Driver 10.9.

This is the only game that does it?

Does is just hang for a while and then continue? What internet connection? I kinda have the same thing, sometimes it continues other times not and I have to use task manager. I am blaming the game for it.

This time round, I'll first check, and read up on reviews and feedback from players, before purchasing.
This Blops, have seriously pssd me off.

The sucker that I am, will buy it. It can't be more worst than blops. At least treyarc is out of the picture. Maybe they will use a newer engine as well. One can only hope. :erm:

Well, I was at the midnight launch for Blops, so......
I feel so silly now for doing that. Just for such a piece of (which ever word you can imagine)......:twisted:
So' I''l try...... can not promise anything but try at least not to buy on the launching date

Similar problem mine is gray and blue squares fill the screen... Only happened a few times and I can usually get out of it.
There's a million bugs on this game and everyones experience of it is different. For the most part I have no complaints though... Until I get home today and the patch has caused some new problem.

Also had times where my player does his own thing, spinning in circles, looking up , taking random shots and reloading ... then get nice checkered block screen (the grey & blue ones like doobyscoo mentioned). This has happened a few times (not many) on both mine & my wifes PC's. The last time it happened I verified my game files, it then re-downloaded the last 8mb patch .. and I have not had problems since on my PC.

I get this aswell its a crash i spoke to IRG about it aswell its a common crash in the game

Yeah, not related to graphics, cause I have a nVidia GTX280 & the wife has an ATi HD4890 ...

One more mention... I was also getting BSOD's only while playing BO... I suspect my ram is an issue. I have 2 X 2gig Apogee GT 1066mhz modules. I set them down to 800mhz and no BSOD's either anymore....

I monitor temps vigorously on my PC, and have an aftermarked CPU cooler on the CPU. My system rarely gets over 55 (CPU) and I force my GTX280 to keep cool by setting fan profiles with rivatuner. GPU never gets anywhere near 80C anymore. That thing can go to 110C on stock profiles... (well it used to hover in the 90's under load) Now it idles in the 40's and under load in 60's.

I also enjoy BO when it works.

But I'm getting serious fps problems, running the game with full graphics I get 20 fps and using the lowest graphics I get 30 - 40 fps.
And its not my system because I run BFBC 2 on full graphics with no problem.

(The weird thing is that two weeks ago I was running full graphics and getting 50 - 60 fps, it was like that for a week than it just went worse).

Any one has a Desktop iburst connection and the signal is good. But when you play black ops online and you play for about a hour, then your latency runs 999 for a good few seconds and then its back again to normal and then back to 999. In modarn warfare the latency are very good and no spikes like B.O. any one has this sht problem?????

P.S - Is MW3 going to be steam/P2P hosting again? If so I will definitely be boycotting it.

wont be falling for the yet another release of exactly the same experience, stuttery laggy, crashing, connection interupted, Black ops for me is sthe worst fps made, if they made this bowl of rats puke ten years ago it would of been acceptable, in 2010 its just a very badly made game, one of the worst features of this vomittable release is that there is no proper hardcore, every badly skilled player feels that they need a special "aah nunu, come sit down and tell us what happened, are you ok, do you want a special second chance?, aaaaah shame". now i blame the neanderthals at treyarch for ruining hardcore and the useless ball less yellowbelly chicken****, boohoo i need another chance cos im actually crap players for buggering up hardcore, if youre that crap then stick to normal mode, dont be a ***** and think il use neanderthals chance and then people who play HC without it(it takes skill - try it someday) will die easily and i can be at the top of the scoreboard, GROW A PAIR!!!

You people REALLY want another Modern Warfare? :O This game is like Twilight for the FPS players in South Africa. Modern Warfare that is.

Yeah most of us DoG players hate it ... we banned it on our server for a while, kicking those who didnt comply .... until we realized your first 10 levels its actually a default perk that u cant change I wish they would remove it completely from the game. The BO dev team have admitted that at the time the perk kicks in there is a full half second (in order for the code to kick in and run) where nothing can kill them so technically a half second of God mode.... And they promptly kill u with one shot from a pistol ... USELESS PERK!

Worst fps made? You're seriously exagerating there. There's been several misses over the iterations, but overall the game's been improving.

I wouldn't call it useless, but it's certainly imbalanced for hardcore.

My FPS are up, but seems to be degrading again - I am not blaming my hardware this time!

EVERY time I launch the game it freezes just before it "connects" and "fetches stats". ctrl+alt+del end task...

Then when I fire it up again it "connects" and "fetches stats" but then goes back to just "connecting" and times out with an error message that the black ops servers are not available. RESTART again. Then I go in no problem it "connects" and "fetches stats" and I am able to connect to a server. Once I connect to a server I run @ about 15 FPS for 30 - 60 seconds before it starts picking up to 60 - 80 FPS. Every map it loads after that - same thing...

I have had just about enough of this ****.

I also need your help with that 2nd PC running at home. The IDE drive gave up the ghost (I think) I replaced it with a SATA, but can't get the DVD ROM to work to put XP back on again... FFS...

My sound issue is gone after this patch....but my ping seems to be messed up. Every game its 800 and after 2 minutes into the game play the ping drops. This wasn't like this prior to the patch.
