Follow these steps to feel better:

1) go to fantasy.premierleague.com
2) login
3) go to transfers
4) sign Cesc
5) Celebrate wheen he scores or assists.

I did that when the new season opened :p I've never doubted him as a player, and was rather annoyed when we didn't sign him again. Oh well...

:D good morning everyone!

Yes, it was only Burnley, but City lost to Cardiff last season, and Liverpool's title ambitions died at Selhurst Park. These are the games that really decide the destiny of the title.

Early days, still. Let's hope that the style continues to improve.

the encouraging thing for Chelsea, this is where you lost the league last year. Matching up to the big teams wasn't Chelsea's problem last season, It was going to West Ham, Sunderland etc and getting wins.

I think Cesc is going to be massive for you guys this year, purely because he has the ability to unlock a defence.

Agreed. It was something that helped City last season- smashing most of the smaller teams meant that losing to Chelsea and City didn't matter in the end.

Also- a striker that is a threat up front. It's so good to have that again. Hopefully his form and fitness last.

Diego Costa will probably fade towards the end of the season, happens to most players who come from Spain.

Depends on his fitness, I think. He was very consistent for Atletico last season.

But I do think that we need another striker in place of Torres. I can't rely on that chap to reliably score league goals.

Would love to get Remy as number 2, but offloading Torres is the issue- no one wants to pay his wages (correctly, IMO).

Not if your top class, people like Mata, Aguero and Torres (Liverpool) would like to have a word with you.

Depends. Negredo was scoring for fun for the first half of last season, completely faded for the second.

If you condition and pace yourself, sure, but the lack of a Christmas break does affect players.

Well he did have injuries.

I think Jose will stick with the strikers now, and if need be he'll buy another one in Jan.

Yep, I think that players coming from Spain to England and struggling is the exception, not the norm.

Yeah I can name many more that kept on going. I think it stems from people saying foreigners can't handle the lack of Christmas break, even though most of the time they handle it just fine.

Negredo was hit with injuries, which hampered his form.

Carzola was excellent his entire first season for Arsenal. As was Monreal when he first joined.
