To be honest I don't think that Shevchenko did a lot wrong when he played. I thought that he always gave everything. The proof will be how he plays for milan. I personally think that he was not utilized correctly. Remember JM never bought him and ultimately never wanted him. Good luck to him @ Milan. Hope he has a good season.
 
Sheva is brilliant, but he cant play sole striker, or a wide attacker. He needs to play down the middle with another striker around him, thats why they call him the master poacher. He wont score stunning 20 yard strikes, but he will always put it in the goal from around the 6 yard box.

He would have worked superbly with Anelka I think, but not with Drogba, Drogba can only play alone with 2 wide men.
 
I am blue through and through and I have to say that I cannot stomach DD. I would love to see the back of him. I only want to see chelsea players that want to play for the club. Not b*tch and moan at the end of every season at how he never wanted to come in the first place. Sell him, while we can still get something...
 
I felt like that at the end of the season. I want to see his attitude under Scolari, he was fine under JM, never got on with Grant, which made him say stupid things.

Hope he stops his diving though...
 
Yeah, and hasn't Bosingwa been a real gem? The signing Ashley Cole should have been!

Mind you, even he has improved since the arrival of Bosingwa.

Cech also looks to be back to his best.

Deco is looking sublime, Ballack is solid, Lamps is...well Lamps!
 
Some suggestions made to me were that if Cech stays fit then we will win the league. It is actually a very good point. We never have problems scoring, last season it was stopping the leakage at the back. 4-4 with the spuds... nightmare.
 
And we hosting them this weekend. They have not won yet this season.

No Keane, and hopefully no Berbatov...
 
I think Chelsea are going to have to wait for the next transfer window to purchase a striker.
 
Team looked sharp 1st half, got sloppy, fell asleep and looked pathetic 2nd half. That about sums it up!

If I had to put money on it I would say Chelsea 2-1 but with Robinho now in their team its going to be a tougher win for Chelsea.

Felipe Scolari has spoken publicly for the first time since the closing of the transfer window at midnight on Monday.

The Chelsea manager is spending part of the international break at Uefa headquarters in Switzerland, attending the annual Elite Club Coaches Forum, and it was from there he reacted to the absence of new signings during the past week and media stories that followed.

'This is not a problem for me,' Scolari said on the subject of continuing forward with the squad that began the domestic season.

Having Sean Wright Philips. Petrov and Ireland sure does help make a team tho.
 
Petrov is a awesome player.Had a great season last year.
 
Lovely, now Essien will be missing a large chunk of the season, thanks to the 2010 qualifiers.

I can see us losing a few more players, having so many international players can be very bad through injuries sustained in national matches.

Ah well, hopefully Ballack and Mikel will be back soon, and hopefully Drogba will be coming back with a point to prove, otherwise people will really get on his back!
