One being a lack of service from our midfield - there are hardly any aerial passes or byline crosses anymore, the poor form of our fullbacks effectively gives Chelsea zero width. We also lack consistent flank players like Valencia

You forget that until very recently, we also lacked Valencia :)

I'm convinced that by next season Torres will be back to his shooting best and will shut the mouths of many doubters!

No doubt, but until then people are going to (whether rightly or no)
*Mock him
*Doubt his class

Sure but your team still has width coming from the likes of Nani, Giggs, Rafael, Evra - hell even Roo drops the flanks every now and then..I also see Hernandez learning that trait. Chelsea on that other hand had an element of width last season with Cole and Malouda in great form, even Ivanovic chipping in. Even then those players are known for pumping the ball into the box rather than being able to give it a bit more flight with accuracy. This season the left side has been pathetic due to both Cole and Malouda suffering in form..and our right side well its been non-existent ever since Joe Cole left. Poor Bosingwa coming back from a lengthy injury spell is expected to take on the entire responsibility of width on the right side and then when he's skinned by a player of Giggs quality he gets shot down for not defending..yeah it was poor defending but you don't expect your fullback to marshall the entire flank by himself! Lol, as I say our problems are complex :p

Yes agreed and until that time there will be people like me defending him :D

2 goals in 2 starts vs. no goals in how many starts for Torres?

Torres is a great player, but since his injury before the world cup he's a shadow of the player he was. I think he just wants to go back and play in Spain.

At least he has started scoring in only his 2nd start against a big club (Man City)

My 2 cents' worth:

Alex: Still rusty, shouldn't have played last night.
Ivanovic: Play him in one position (right back or centre back), stop confusing the guy.
Lampard: No where to be seen last night, should have been substituted for Benayoun.
Torres: Shouldn't have started at all.

How about having started with Malouda, Essien, Lampard, Kalou, Drogba and Anelka???

Chelsea should play Luiz upfront as a striker.

He has a better scoring record than Fernando :D

That Liverpool K@K is what made them spend 50mil for him in the first place.... *facepalm* :D
They paid that money because of the player he was before the Liverpool k@k set in *double faceplam*

So why buy him for double the price Liverpool paid for him. Liverpool k@k seems quite expensive to me! :D
