I don't blame Lukaku. He scored more goals than Torres and Eto'o combined in the EPL last season. Before Diego Costa joined, he should've been your no. 1.

No, that's a false equivalence.

Anyway, he didn't leave because he wasn't wanted. He left because of his attitude.

I'd also have an attitude if was forced to watch Torres run around the pitch doing nothing while I was on the bench/sent out in loan. Lukaku is a much better striker than Torres.

I see Lukaku scoring 20+ goals this season, just like Sturridge did last season.

Yeah I agree, Eto and Torres was useless, Lukaku could have gotten game time ahead of those two but I guess Jose wanted to park the bus most of the season so he didn't allow Lukaku game time he asked for.

Yeah because all top teams have 1 good striker and that striker is a 21 year old yeah definitely!
He play for Everton and WBA and hell he wasn't even a dead on starter for those clubs. Plus those clubs play differently to Chelsea and opponents play differently to. Teams park the bus against us and Lukaku is utterly poor when that happens, he has a first touch of a brick wall and terrible dribbling skills and is a terrible passer and makes bad decisions, he can finish though. His 2 loans in no way showed he deserved number 1. At Chelsea you have to earn stuff like that. Players like Schurlle and Azpi fought for first team position, Hell Azpi even took out Cole that's how much dedication he has. Lukaku has an attitude problem plain and simple. He wanted everything handed to him.

Clearly you actually have zero idea what you are talking about. Lukaku was always in the plan last season but he wanted to go out on loan, and he most definitely would have played games for us last season. Lukaku just wants to be a big fish in a small pond.

For the millionth time now, Lukaku requested to be loaned out. He chose not to compete with Torres, Ba and Eto'o.

What Mourinho said on his transfer was pretty clear: he wanted to be guaranteed a starting spot, the club couldn't give that to him. He can take that attitude with him to Everton, he won't be missed at Chelsea.

This is your daily reminder to remind us why Jose did not want Lukaku...

It will be great if Lukaku scores the winner against Chelsea next season.
I'd like to hear what Mourinho thinks of his attitude then

:D noted.

Not sure what you're implying here. Lukaku isolated himself with his attitude, and made the decision to leave without even discussing his role with the club. Trust me, we will do well enough without him.

Wolfsburg have contacted Torres' agent.

If we sell him before lining up a replacement, we have a huge problem. JM did say that Torres is unlikely to leave, though.

He may be a donkey in the league, but his record in Europe for us is pretty excellent, particularly in the big games.

He said the same about Mata ;) I'm sure if the offer came he'll jump at the opportunity to take it.

He's actually average, yeah he might have scored against AM and barca (When Barca was in Ultra attacking mode and it was just him and the keeper) but he only scores against weak opposition.

Yeah. What JM says and what he does are two very different things.

His record over the past two seasons in Europe is 14 goals in 26 games. That's really not bad.

Last season, he scored the same amount of goals in Europe as Benzema, Reus, and Müller. That's some decent company to be in IMO.

Doesn't bother me at all. We let him go.
Plus he signed for NY. This will probably make the whole move easier for him.

Agreed.

Not forgetting- Man City owns New York City FC. He probably had no choice but to join an affiliate club, and his name will be an extra drawcard for City. I wish him well, it will be extremely weird seeing him in City's colours. Now I know how West Ham supporters feel :p

Difference is West Ham never wanted him and the fans game him hell all the time.

Only because of the love in for Joe Cole at the time. But don't forget, he was a deeper part of the club than Cole, thanks to his father and uncle (good ol' 'Arry). Made things untenable for him in the end, and we scooped up what would become the greatest midfielder our club has ever had.
