Off topic but Africans generally deal with malaria a lot better than other races, due to sickle cell disease.

The way I understand it, the Chelsea Pitch Owners group own the stadium. They have an agreement with Chelsea FC, that if Chelsea ever leave the stadium, they must give up the Chelsea FC name.

That is true - it was done to stop the schit that happened in the early 80s... however, I think daddy oilbucks will sort out something in the end if we do decide to move. However... Ron Gourlay has already said multiple times that it would not be in our best interests to move at his point in time and would rather focus his energies on finding alternative revenue streams. That... and Roman just finished construction on a club located in the West Stand with a waterfall in it. A frikkin waterfall! You think he's just going to up and leave? :p

As far as the malaria thing is concerned... it doesn;t really matter if African's handle it better or not, the simple fact of the matter is that Drogba without illness = imba, Drogba with illness = not quite so imba.

I'm sure if Chelsea need to leave, which the will eventually, they will find a way to buy the name back. As for the waterfall, it's cool, quite a few US baseball stadiums have them now too.

The malaria thing is bad, but that's why I marked my comment as off topic.
 
No no, you misunderstand me... the waterfall is in a night club that is built under (or as part of?) the West Stand (iirc). It's not visible from the outside or from the stands.

Gourlay's a real ****. He really could have handled this situation better. Two ****ing lines in the press release. I mean honestly... ****ing *******.

Anyway, the rumour mill seems to suggest that Zola will be the new Assistant Manager. Dunno how pleased I am about that to be honest. If we need anyone it's deffo Steve Clarke. He'd whip our shoddy defence into shape in double time.
