Look, we’re still poverty but I’m happy with that. Something to look forward to seeing we’re a mid table team. Thank you Tripper.

Had a look at the other games. Something of note is that Fulham have beat Everton. So it’s Fulham, Middlesbrough, Chelsea in, with either Liverpool or West Ham punching their ticket tomorrow (I know who I’d prefer to go in).

Wolves away on Sunday. Let’s keep at it.
 
Nice “win” yesterday against Palace. I guess it’s three points but the boy isn’t inspired. We can’t be hoping for 86 minute penalties to finish off Palace at home.

The less said about Jackson’s finishing the better. Guy probably struggles to finish his dinner.

Luton away on Saturday next, right when they have had the best form of their season. No excuses though, we need to cook them.
 
Nkunku and Palmer are stars but the rest of the attack is not dependable. Broja and Madueke need more game time this season to see how good they are.
Midfield is good on paper but again, injury issues with Lavia in his debut and Enzo has a hernia.
Defense needs Chillwell and James to play together more than 10% of the season but easier said than done.

I know we've spent a fortune already (and Mudryk, Fofana and Cucurella haven't even been worth a third of their price) but I think we might need to spend some more. Maybe another winger and left back. Good youngsters on loan too but they will all need another year in a PL side.

At this point we need a world class number 9. We have missed the most big chances in the League. A proper and elite number 9 and we’re gonna cook.
 
Luton at the moment. It’s been a bit of a scrappy one with some tough tackling. Worried about injuries here.
 
Also, Cole Palmer is so smooth. Should look at giving him a pay raise end of next season at this rate.
 
Flipping hell. Damn that was tough. Wow. Luton gave us a game legit. But hey, three points and puts us one behind Newcastle who have Liverpool next.

I do feel like we should do a bit better in finishing teams off. Granted Luton have been in good form, but after 3-0 it should have been curtains.

Next EPL game is against Fulham. Preston at home next in the FA Cup then away against Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup semifinal.

And that’s it for Chelsea Football Club in 2023. Overall a forgettable year, not up to standard. Few moments here and there, but certainly more downs that ups. Hopefully a stop gap or two type of signing in January, then reassess in the summer.
 
Another L, this time against a team I see as being on our level. Got turned over, big time. Yes, brutal deflections with the goals for Wolves, but we should be winning these.

11th in the league. Need to go all out to win this damn Carabao Cup now.
