Tried to play that last night - but steam was STUFFED! Couldn't play at all.
 
Is the server always full??

Does anyone think it's the right time to get MW 3 or should one wait a little while before getting it?
 
Tonight was the best ive experienced it, not sure if it was this recent update but my gfx are looking alot more detailed, the game was super smooth the odd net spike but nothing hectic, but visually its looking a hellova lot better. Id still like a FOV slider its the first thing i check for when theres an update.
 
We played one or two games on the RoS dedicated server last night, and it was awesome! No lag, no spikes, no tanking. Good stuff! I reckon the P2P will die out soon enough and people will move to the dedicated's rather. Here's to hoping.... :)
 
ya i reckon once the rank chase has ended, im not sure im going to prestige as yet, 800 levels is a lot, might just go to the end of 1 and move over to dedis, is the amount of players still goverened by the game type can you play ground war with 18? or any other type with 18 players?
 
I'm still very much on the fence regarding a decision to purchase this game. How is the multiplayer/LAN setup? I assume one will have to be permanently connected to steam to play multiplayer so this means that if I have 4 or 5 other guys on my network who want to join my game they would all have to connect to steam through my 1MB ADSL connection at home? Would this work?

I'm looking for a new game to LAN with my mates over December so my decision to buy the game rests purely on how the multiplayer is...otherwise it'll be back to the first MW1 for me. :(

They would only need to authenticate to Steam. From there it shouldn't be a problem even on a 1MB line.

Hi Ripy - you can choose the slots on your server with the max being 18 - on any game type. Ours is set to 12 because it will become our clannie/practice server.
 
MW2.1 agggg... I mean 3 ... lol Dedis are quite a bit more than a ranked Blops server tho.... about R10 per slot per month ? Unless my Clan members contribute, I'm not gonna fork out for them....

That's why you get someone to sponsor the server for you. ;)

How do you get on the dedicated servers and where do you see the list.

Go into MP go to options, dedicated server enable server browser. You should see a new meny @ home screen.
 
Can't wait for the final settings to be configured on our server. It's a lot better than this p2p shyte.
 
Ja, will chat to the guys today to see the progress. Would like to have it finalized today so we can start practicing. I have a sneaky suspicion that we are behind some of the other clans. They are playing pickups like it is going out of fashion!!
 
Slaughter. Do you guys want to play a clannie tonight? I am trying to get SPA back into clannies and the DGL...
