I don't believe any rumours. The English Journos make up stories from thin air!

Strange that despite their success so far this season none of LFC's signings this season apart from Mignolet have made any impact.

So basically any decent player out there?

I haven't seen many rumors so far. I do believe Man U and Chelsea will both try and grab something even though CFC do not like buying in the January window.

For this window LFC need a world class CB. A quality English youngster like Luke Shaw would be great too.

Sakho is an outstanding CB. Another one would be nice.

Also we are after Salah from Basel, who is pretty good I rate.

You only think so because of his physical attributes throwing himself about after his lack of positional sense gets him into trouble in the first place. Stats speak for themselves 1 clean sheet in 11 starts , leaking goals like a sieve at set pieces and posing no threat going forward. Not to mention a worse first touch than Dirk Kuyt. I'm amazed Rodgers who puts so much emphasises on technique and game 'intelligence' signed him. He'll be off too Stoke in good time.

Sure :erm

You have no clue what you are talking about....

Signings dont always make a direct impact though, added quality to the squad and competition for places makes everyone lift their game.

I find it very strange that there is such a lack of transfer speculation. Usually the media has sold and bought half the premier league by now.

Maybe the league is just so exciting this year that there is no need for the fiction writers.

LFC:
Salah
Coleman (yes from Everton)
Montoya
Couple of others as well but cant recall names now.

Hopefully Moses goes back to Chelsea
Aspas goes out on loan somewhere.

Rodgers was very smart in playing Smith last night. Clear message to the owners. We need more first team players.

This whole "sending a message to the owners" thing is bull****. We don't have Hicks and Gillette as owners anymore. It's not like Rodgers has a bad relationship with them, and the transfer committee and other staff are all well aware of the shortage of squad depth.

Think we are going to be buying a CDM apparently we've been looking at Fernando Reges (from Porto) and Yann M'vila.

Do you think a CDM is really a priority now. Yes there is proper competition for Lucas at the moment, but I think our Wingbacks needs a kick up the butt and maybe a decent striker.

And maybe this thread should of been called "LFC TRANSFER RUMOURS JAN 2013/2014" :D

And with Suarez's huge pay increase, can we afford a world class player's wages ?

Wow geez Pooh fans are finnicky... Rodgers has gotten Pool top of the table after 1.5 season in charge... You can't expect every young player that is signed on to perform well straight off the bat. Lets not forget Pooh does not have champions league or Europa so attracting top talent is going to hard. The EPL isn't La Liga where you will be able to perform straight off the bat.

Rodgers has done an awesome job with the squad they have. Give the youngsters some time and you will see Liverpool will come right.

Only inexperienced youngsters signed were Alberto and Ilori and they have barely played at all.

Tiago Ilori - 20, Sporting Lisbon
Luis Alberto - 21, Sevilla

both CB, doubt you'd want them starting over Agger and Skrtel
