My performance is so bad after a few days of use. Thought it wouldn't be a problem if I flash the image and start clean. My nexus 7 is so slow, takes me 5min to open a Web page by clicking on a link in Facebook. Even takes time to unlock it! At the moment my nexus 7 is unusable.

My Nexus 7 slows down after a few weeks requiring a restart.
Looks like im not the only one. These people have the same problems, Facebook crashing, chrome is extremely slow, auto rotate has major lag.
EDIT: Clearing the cache does help a little bit, still have to run the trim app, need to root first.

You can always download the image and use something like WUGs root toolkit.
WiFI or GSM? There doesn't seem to be GSM factory images yet. If it's WiFi, it's possible to flash the factory image onto your tablet.

Just got a Nexus 7 2013 a few days back.... It was second hand, guy had got Lollipop on the device.
Has there been an official release of Lollipop for the 2013 wifi model? Because this version seems a big buggy, the auto-rotate is not working... other than that I'm not experiencing many problems that I can think of offhand

Yes, quite a few weeks ago already. I downloaded the factory image and started fresh with mine, and have had no problems.

Yup, it's official. Maybe reload the OS using the factory image?
Hey, that was the official lollipop rom installed from the Android website.
I have never had problems with the screen rotation, maybe check to see if it's locked?

Just got my Lollipop OTA. I went straight from 4.4.4 to 5.0.1, skipping 5.0. Will play with it tomorrow.
