i was very confused because when i got the tablet on Friday and checked for updates it immediately detected the 4.2 Jelly Bean updated and asked me to charge the device first.
when i did the update just disappeared!!!
 
ok...so the update does not work!
it starts fine, and fail at about 25%.

any idea how to fix it?
 
Hey guys,

Often lurk here before buying something. Just got the 32GB from First Tech - found them through bid or buy actually - the guy calls him self "Fairtrader" on there - no idea why they didn't stick with the real name.
Cost me +-R3200 with insured delivery to dbn.
They say they're short of stock though. The okes are seriously sharp, phoned me every day to let me know about delayed stock or whatever the status was, it did take some time coming in via Asus.
Loving the device, also no 4.2 either. Can't get the $25.00, gave up after a while, even with a factory reset it recognises that I've tried to log on with my gmail acc. before. It's fine though, was hoping for it, but I'll get over it.
Next question - anyone ordered a good silicon/TPU type cover for it?
What about a nice dock/keyboard dock?

Hold off on the 4.2 update. I've been experiencing frequent reboots, and it seems to be a bug in 4.2. Google it.

how can i try and redeem the 25$?
was there something in the box....i ignored every document that was in the box...lol

I read somewhere that they extended it. To find out how to do it - go to #3 in this thread (first page). It didn't work for me though.

I upgraded to 4.2.2 this morning. Haven't noticed any real difference yet.
 
Dont know if this was mentioned somewhere but Incredible Connection has special for 32gig for R2999.
 
Ok, so I also got my new Nexus today and busy playing with it at the moment. I just have a few questions:

1. What app do you use for streaming music or video to the Nexus?

2. Is there any app that is similar to Kies Air that I can use?

3. What version of SwiftKey must I use with Nexus, normal or tablet?

4. I am on 4.1.2 at the moment. Do you suggest I don't upgrade to 4.2 yet?
