Have anybody here used their 3g nexus 7 as a WiFi hotspot? Apparently it can be done, but I am not finding the setting for it. If it is a 3rd party app can anybody please recommend one. Thanks lots
On my phone its under settings. Wireless and networks (more). Should be listed there as portable hot spot

There is no setting for hotspot on N7. Have to use an App, if you can find one that works.
Unfortunately that setting does not appear on the nexus 7. So somehow google is disabling that, but you would think that option will be available on the 3g version. *sigh*
oh well, let me try some and see how it goes. Maybe rooting it will allow me access to the menu options. will google some more

Wife is becoming interested in ebooks so I downloaded the Kindle software and tried a sample book and it was pretty decent, you get a load of functionality like re-sizing text\changing page colour\save points etc etc.. I haven't really tried any other ebook readers though so can't compare.
I have one down side on the N7 though.....the weight. I've been watching The Walking Dead series at night in bed on the tablet and after about an hour of holding it, my thumb starts giving in and I have to swap hands or prop it on the bed. Maybe your hands would be a little more active when reading so you might not feel the weight as fast when compared to watching video....

I picked up a case for my N7 off BidOrBuy that enables you to rotate the tab vertical/horizonal and has grooves in the flap to hold the tab at various angles.
PERFECT for laying in bed and browsing stuff. Tab sits nicely on your chest and off you go.
Yep, you'll need Perfect Viewer for reading PDFs though, and the PDF plugin – PDFs look rubbish with the Kindle app. (After installing the plugin you may need to restart.)
Just downloaded that today and it's really nice.
