This might have been linked before but has anyone got a good tutorial how to update the build from 1.5.1 to 1.21 and from there apply the Froyo update?

Can i copy both updates to the phone (in different folders) on the sdcard and then update separately or must i copy the one, update then copy the other and update
the reason i am asking is because i copied both to my phone and forgot to take the cable with to campus
ok tried to update to 1.21 and get an error "E: cant open /cache/recovery/command
i then apply sdcard update and get error "E: failed to open /sdcard/update.zip (no such file or directory)"
i have both updates on my card saved under a folder i created and the 1.21 was renamed "update.zip"......any ideas? should i delete the froyo update and then try because maybe there is conflict by having both updates on the card?
Those f@#king ppl at mtn a55h0ls never released any OTA for the desire, i had to manually update it twice to get the froyo. they bloody blocked the OTA.
if u have this fw you can do the update manually

Hey guys, for those of you on MTN, do your APN settings appear correctly? If i put in a prepaid sim they show up automatically, but if i switch to my contract sim theres nothing and i cant get any sort of data connection.
i called the help desk and they just insist on sending me the settings (of which only a welcome to mms sms arrives) which doesnt save or work anyway.
Did anybody else have this problem? (If i manually create an APN, internet will work, but only if i keep MNC as 103 and MCC as 655)
No MMS at all though
