Specs disappointing, or expected after what was seen with the S5?

Sorry, that attachment is unreadable.

There are a few things that I'm disappointed about:

- Not waterproof
- Sealed battery
- Not entirely convinced of this ultra-pixel story, although they reckon it's brilliant
- No 4k video recording
- No dedicated camera button

Otherwise, specwise it's almost on par with the Z2 and S5. And of course:

- Sense 6 is beautiful
- Aluminium casing. Word. Just freaking word.

I think I want one. Not sure yet. It's a toss up between the three, and of course, the dreaded (lack of) availability.

Are we truly at a stage to even appreciate 4K videos yet though?

Yea, 4k vid? Pssh never use it on my gopro. Waterproof comes with some disadvantages too (S5 and it's annoying plug cover).

It's pretty damn perfect looking to me. Really hope they become available soon!!!

4K video is definitely a waste for me. Even the mega pixels on cameras are becoming too high. Especially if you view you photos on nothing higher than a full hd display.

More important now is the functions of the camera. I like the auto focus speed of the S5 and maybe even the focusing after the photo is taken of the One 2. The Z2 offers nothing special like this.

I am really liking this ,honestly I doubt ill ever touch another Sony again ,the Z1 was a huge disappointment for me and the Sony after sales service is shocking to put it mildly .
I was leaning towards the S5 as my personal device as i use the Note 3 for work ,but I'm really liking the build on the HTC . Hopefully it won't be too long before it arrives in SA . The 4k video is not a deal breaker for me as Iv not used it on my Note 3 at all .

Looking at samples on GSM Arena, like the previous One, the camera quality puts me off :( Very unfortunate, love the looks but need a better camera

Guy from The Verge isn't very impressed with the camera. Likes the rest of it, though.

David Pierce is usually unimpressed unless the device is Apple... and until The Verge starts backing up their reviews with some verifiable data, I'll wait for a more reputable site to analyse the camera.

This phone is a significant upgrade on the old one. The camera impressions may not yet seem great, but I have hope that it will improve.

I personally couldn't be too bothered by the camera actually? I decrease the size of the photos on my S4 so I can share them more easily. The idea of being able to change focus FAR outweighs the shortage of megapixels for me. Maybe it's because I have an actual camera as well, but I don't see the need for my phone to have an exceptional camera.

Who needs autofocus when you can refocus any image?

when something is captured out of focus, you can't focus more on the place you have already focused. you can only focus on different out of focus items. jeez, does that make sense? because i think i might have confused myself now LOL

Yea you are confused. The premise of dual cameras is to be able to shift the focus irrespective of where it's initially at.

Check out the Lytro, I'm sure this is similar tech.
