thats R12000 hmmmmmm not looking like such a good deal to me
@ R349 I would grab it even R400
Guess I will have to look at alternative phones to this

but the phone costs R8500..

So you paying R3500 for airtime, which works out to only R145 of airtime a month.
You are getting more than R145 worth of airtime+data+sms with the smart M.

Got bad news for those waiting for MTN to get the phone(including me), it's not happening. Apparently HTC are not willing to chip in on the marketing of the phone(or somewhere along those lines) so in return MTN is not willing to risk carrying it. Decision was made not so long ago after some intense debates.

Source: Friend who works with those who pulled the plug on the idea, he said I must forget it. It's been struck of the roll, better to go to 3rd parties if you still want to stick around with MTN.

As for me, I'll be cancelling my contract. Been waiting since Dec to upgrade.

BTW Nashua has it on MTN at R469(I think) Anytime R200+200sms+200MB+30mins on same network. I get reasonable discounts(only just found out) with them through my workplace so I'll maybe go along and go for that deal. Though I don't know how long I'll have to wait for MTN to cancel my contract.

dont know who your "contact" is ..but my "contact" at MTN told me they will be offering the device but only at limited stock for testing to see if it sells..

Their stock is in at end off June..(limited stock though) ..but as i see it only to MTN suscribers or upgrades..

Hopefully they'll see its a device that sells well and offer it to everyone

Who are you with ?

:-O

When i spoke to Vodacom, they told me the only top up plan they offer now with the phone is TopUp 315,

Whats a top up 200 I dont see that anywhere ???
Man why is this so convoluted .

The Vodashop in Vodacom World Midrand has 227 in stock , but they wont sell it to anyone that doesn't come there , You'd think in this day and age they would one want the sales ,2 can do this sale with everything being electronic .
Pre approval from a Vodashop in your area , call sign up have the phone couriered .Whats the Fuss ???

Top up 200s its called, not sure where it is on the website

I phoned 111 asked them to list the different topup plans, and converted to the above plan

i told myself if MTN doesnt have it be mid July then Voda(sad)com is!

i've been like a 13 year old watching reviews over reviews! and it always shows HTC One..is the phone to have!

on websites ..type top 10 smartphones of 2013..80% of the sites always show HTC One the #1 device to have!

Ok quick Show off hands how many of you guys are in Durban
I have spoken to the manager at one of the Vodacom Shops here and if we have sufficient Numbers he can try to get the same deal as the Midrand store . @ R349

bud seriously MTN arnt getting it not for at least another 3 or 4 months , I am 84% positive on this there is a whole lot of internal crap with MTN and their buyers havnt booked cause they never thought it would sell or that it would be a good bet .
I have had a huge conversation with the regional director of MTN at the Gatemax MTN in umhlanga .while with him he made a few calls and pretty much said that its not on the cards .

If they do get it will be a few limited units that wont be advertised until or if they can secure more stock and only offered on request . But not now , its the reason im looking at going to Vodacom
