Official HTC One thread

dont know who your "contact" is ..but my "contact" at MTN told me they will be offering the device but only at limited stock for testing to see if it sells..

Their stock is in at end off June..(limited stock though) ..but as i see it only to MTN suscribers or upgrades..

Hopefully they'll see its a device that sells well and offer it to everyone

He's a good friend of mine working closely with the OEMs. Even he loves the phone but the bosses couldn't agree on the marketing part of it. To me that story makes a lot of sense since I haven't seen much of the phone(even from Vodacom) in the media. No TV ads, posters or even billboards. I don't think being the best phone is enough, HTC needs to step up their game.

OK....... I have now given up hope on getting this phone on any contract, except on Vodacom. They are just too limiting when it comes to contract data. So, I will be buying it cash and then look at the best prepaid options available. Where is the best place, online, to buy the HTC One?

Orange has it for R8,282.14 on their website, with silver and black option.

Ok quick Show off hands how many of you guys are in Durban
I have spoken to the manager at one of the Vodacom Shops here and if we have sufficient Numbers he can try to get the same deal as the Midrand store . @ R349

count me in

Mine is silver and it looks reaaaally fantastic as the black screen seamlessly molds into the silver casing. It really shows the phone's design. I'm not sure about the black version, but the silver looks really sexy.

Nashua is my service provider. I mailed them to inquire regarding the HTC One. They recon they have discontinued it and won't be getting stock from their supplier. This means I will either have to change SP or phone.

I'm now convinced that HTC are the biggest fail of the year. I'm not going to bother anymore. Think I'll just go for the S4, this is after 3 HTCs. Sad

If anyone is interested, i just confirmed my order with Metro in vodaworld. They have stock of the fone. I ported from Nashua mobile to them. will be getting my fone tomorrow hopefully. Sorting out the paper work.

Tel Number: 011 6536500

The S4 is looking more and more attractive each day now. I've waited since Jan to upgrade. Im with MTN and dont really want to port. Loved my Desire HD so was really looking forward to the One. But seeing HTC/MTN so slack might just jump on the Samsung bandwagon. Least they release updates too. My Desire HD is still on 2.3!! Samsung have their pocket plus even on 4.0! HTC was supposed to be in difficultly financially. Well they not doing themselves any favours in SA. The most frustrating thing is lack of communication in this regard from both HTC and MTN!

I was in the Autopage store Menlyn Pretoria on Sunday and they had a flyer with HTC One deals on MTN, Voda and CellC. But didn't have time to speak to anyone. As far as I remember I saw it for R429 on MTN Anytime 200, incl. 300mb data.

Had a chat with guys in observatory MTN in CT....he said that MTN is not going to stock the One!!
So it seams ill just go to another SP.

I see they have it on Cell C straight up 100 for R390

Thats not that bad 100mb and 100 minutes ,ill be taking that deal
