Interestingly enough, there is a Google play update for SuperSU, but updating it failed, and I got a message saying I need to reroot to get the update because of my upgrade to 4.3. Not an issue, just curious.


By the way, the battery and performance are fantastic now! The upgrade is well worth it. I'm also glad I'm not getting any Vodacom software and splash screens with it.

Check post #1754 on this page to download V1.80 of supersu for HTC one: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191358&page=176 , there was a problem when flashing a newer Rom on version 1.75 (or earlier), just flash 1.8 from recovery and root will be sorted again. if you are on an older firmware before 3.62 then the all in one kit has a remove Tampered command line which works (but not on newer firmwares).

Edit: Got it working after a million tries but flashing the update is not working. Might be because I have TWRP is installed and I need stock recovery? Can someone provide me with the stock recovery.img?

Edit: Got the recover.img from the update as per b_crazy post. Will flash it at lunch. Here's hoping I can get it working. Thank you everyone for the help

For future ref, just check out xda HTC one original / development forum all firmwares, image files, ruu's stock and customised, recoveries etc are there, great resource if you wanna have fun with your One.

I get about 35 odd hours with general use, sometimes more, currently on 32 hours with 21% left which is great.

Yes it is,but did you also install the original recovery ?
because i did,and then my super SU didnt work because i chose the 4.4 RUU without root.

I took the version 4.4 with root and yes I was on stock recovery. Well it was stock recovery for the HTC Sense 4.3 ROM.
Do you think I should flash the recovery in the RUU? I think It contains the recovery.

Good luck guys hope your mission works out well, I see though that there are quite a few articles of 4.4 having quite a few bugs so I'm thinking I'll go back to 4.3 until 4.4.1 KK is released, apparently google is working very hard to get this bug fix update out asap... Let's see
 
Just a little Thanks to HTC SA ... Cracked my Screen but had already reported an lcd fault (which would require a new LCD ) to Vodacom a few days before .

Long story short, I received a new phone free of charge with no questions asked within 24 hours. :)
