After I installed the GPE ROM 4.4 on my phone I lost root automatically
Does this also remove the ***Tampered*** in the bootloader?
Interestingly enough, there is a Google play update for SuperSU, but updating it failed, and I got a message saying I need to reroot to get the update because of my upgrade to 4.3. Not an issue, just curious.
By the way, the battery and performance are fantastic now! The upgrade is well worth it. I'm also glad I'm not getting any Vodacom software and splash screens with it.
I did accept it. What version did you have? I have OS version in the bootloader 2.24.401.8 but it doesn't work
Edit: Got it working after a million tries but flashing the update is not working. Might be because I have TWRP is installed and I need stock recovery? Can someone provide me with the stock recovery.img?
Edit: Got the recover.img from the update as per b_crazy post. Will flash it at lunch. Here's hoping I can get it working. Thank you everyone for the help
Damn man. I was listening music and browsing and doing a lot of stuff on mine on 4.2.2 and it lasted from about 5 or 6ish in the morning till about 5 in the afternoon but its heavy use mostly listening to music with beats.
Mines not that bad.....try going back to sense

What guide did you use to flash to GPE? My guide produced that battery drain and I would like to use your method.
That's the same one I used but I don't know something is wrong. Battery dropped 7% in 8min without any interaction with the phone. Will try the method tonight again
Edit: Not totally the same but I think the tutorial is based on that post.

Yes it is,but did you also install the original recovery ?
because i did,and then my super SU didnt work because i chose the 4.4 RUU without root.
Just a little Thanks to HTC SA ... Cracked my Screen but had already reported an lcd fault (which would require a new LCD ) to Vodacom a few days before .
Long story short, I received a new phone free of charge with no questions asked within 24 hours.![]()
4.2.2?? Wasn't it shipped with that? Shouldn't you be getting 4.4.2?
