Official HTC One thread

I also got my HTC through MTN, but I dealt directly with Regenersis and got a new handset within two days, just make sure they have stock before you take your phone in. I dealt with a guy names Zakariya and he was really helpful.

are they the ones supplying the devices or where do they come in?

Two questions: I have the purple tint problem and I want to get a replacement.
1) Does anyone have a guide that they followed and worked for them to get back to full stock? I am unlocked, S-OFF, tampered, custom recovery and custom ROM.
2) Do I just Google and call Regenersis? I am in CT, would I need to ship the phone to Joburg at my own cost?

They couldn't help me with the cracked screen. The guys guy says they don't keep stock.

Seems like I have to buy a new ONE or work with it as is...

so it has been quite a while since this phone released now. Do you reckon it is a good Idea to get one now or to wait for new releases instead?

The HTC one upgrade may not be that extravagant, but it all depends on your budget, your needs as well as your patience.
I find that upgrades are only worth it every two years or so, as by then there are substantial advances in technology to really experience.

That's just my opinion but then again I'm no super techno junky!

What I can say is that the HTC one is a brilliant and sexy device all round.

Agreed. This one is for the missus, the contract I got for her is due for upgrade now, but it is on virgin mobile. They can give me the S4 or LG G2, but I already have an S4, so she doesn't want one. So what I am trying to figure out, is it worth switching to vodacom or MTN for this phone. Not too happy with virgin, but was thinking cellc, and they only have the HTC one mini.

You can possibly go through Nashua mobile and choose your service provider, in your case CellC.

Anyone have the contact details for the guys supporting our HTC devices. Brightpoint or Ingram Micro Mobility? The camera on my phone does not seem tom work as well as it used to. Fine in daylight, but not so at night.

Quick question for those who have upgraded to 4.4.

Does text wrapping when zooming in and out still work in the browser?

I have had the HTC One mini for 5 months. Everything about it is fine except the camera. The worst ever camera in a smartphone. You have to delete more than 90% of the photos or really concentrate and steady yourself to get any usable photos. It takes way much more effort than even a low end phone like the Nokia Lumia 520. I hear that on the next HTC one they are sticking with the same camera. They must have a death wish

I have the HTC one for about 2 months now, I love it compared to my Samsung and iPhone, although I haven't had time to sit and figure things out yet, I've used the camera about twice on standard mode just to get a quick shot and it's amazing. I haven't tested the whole ultra pixel vs mega pixel thing yet but I don't really care enough.

sigh ... so has anyone got a nice easy to follow root guide ... im so ghatfol of waiting for 4.4 its not
even funny anymore!

I got a notification too, Vodacom.

But I don't think it's 4.4

I just saw mine now too. I'm not totally convinced it even 4.3 tbh. The update seems very small. Unless there another one right after?

I won't lie, I'm nervous bout rooting my phone and playing around with it, cause if it goes pear, I can't afford another one right now. But saying that, I do want the updates...

First world problems...
