Good start for SA :).

Couple of things to work on:
- Why is Steyn not opening the bowling?
- Too many extras given away.
- 5/6th bowling option.
- Top 4 struggled today. On current form they should perform better in the next games.

-Because like AD before him he struggles to control the white ball. He was a bit rusty today, will come right.
-It is what it is, we either weaken the batting or the bowling or go for bits and parts farhaan. No genuine allrounder around so have to hide this weakness as best we can.
-Extras need work

I was most happy about Duminy...that calm reliability is exactly what we missed when we were in Australia getting a 4-1 hiding. Miller's good form continues...also a good omen.

We were okay with the ball....some room to improve. Zimbabwe were really good on the day apart from the last 10-15 overs of their bowling effort.

I don't believe that AD is the right man for the job of our bowling coach. As much as I dislike the Aussies, I would be more comfortable with McGrath. That's one man that really knows how to bowl yorkers.

So Zimbabwe failed? Or did they choke?

I'm impressed with them, really impressed!! They've got to be contenders for the 4th spot in our pool?

7 wicket win against SL and they had NZ 157/7 after 30, in the warm up games.

Haven't seen UAE or Ireland but Zim should have the measure of them.

Don't see why they can't knock the WI's over too. How many wins gets you through?

7 teams per group, so minimum of 3 wins to get into top 4.

Seeing as Zim are a full icc member and the other 2 aren't they would have serious issues if they can't beat them.

They have looked good in their opening games but the pitches have favored them being on the slow side.

Lucky for them the fixtures are favorable, only 1 game at the Gabba vs Pakistan rest all on slow pitches.
