Never go against history, we suck in world cups and will continue to do so this year. Apologies for the defeatist attitude but we simply not capable of chasing and statistically, in the knock out stages we likely to be required to at least once.

Quite the contrary.

We need 5 or 6 to stand up. And often 5 or 6 do. And quite often 5 or 6 fail dismally and we capitulate in games where we shouldn't have. Pakistan is a perfect case in point.

I might do some stupid stuff if Saffers choke again in the qf the way we threw the match down the toilet drain back in 1999 traumatized me badly when I was a young kid. I need to learn to keep calm and cheer my team in the next stage.

I simply do not understand why AB won't open or bat at 3. Just look at Sanga go(4hundreds in a row?). SL's best batsman batting so high hasn't weakened SL it's made them stronger and reach finals ahead of better&deeper batting orders.

I cried and laughed (The way we lost the final wicket was fking hilarious. Poor Donald) all night. My parents were very concerned about my mental health. Well, now I'm mentally alright No issues.

Not really. Technically he's batting 3 courtesy of QdK but his mindset hasn't entirely shifted because he doesn't bat naturally when he comes in. It's either a 50SR or a 150SR, not run a ball like Sanga, Kohli, Amla etc. He's losing that balance and I feel he'll get it back by taking up the discipline to open&build, or be similarly responsible when one falls early. To be honest if our AB had the approach of those three, we wouldn't be struggling to chase down IND&PAK, as there'd be a healthier foundation for JP, Miller, Faf etc to work with.

Normally Dilshan should have stayed and Sanga got out instead. 420 would've been in danger then.

I haven't given enough credit to Dilshan. He's been fantastic in this CWC.

Unfortunately, I agree with you 100%. We haven't failed to win even ONE single knockout game in the history of the world cup for nothing. There's a reason for that.
