Can someone please ban this idiot

Many of us were chasing points! I always thought SA would win this but if there were going to blow it I wanted something positive to take out of it IE SB points!!
Picking the wrong team generally doesn't help you get points.![]()
WI have got 0 chance of beating NZ!!
Southee and Boult are going to go through the openers and the middle order within 20 overs!!
We will most likely face them in Eden Park, Auckland in the Semi's...
Eden Park is the ground where we blew the run chase against Pakistan. It's also where NZ knocked Australia over for 150 odd and then made a meal of the run chase, squeaking in by 1 wicket!!
Could be an epic Semi!!!!
Even strangers get on the bandwagon. Wot u have memos passed around secretly - bash that ZCF fellow when you come on?
Check the comments below mate. Guys were preparing welcoms parties for the Proteas ... with good reason. This is a major upset. Even worse considering the nature of the scoreline. On form, by far the worst batsman in the world cup even managed to score a half century today. Upset of major proportions!
Haha, you doubters that picked Sri Lanka on Superbru. Suck it![]()

Sorry boss, better luck next time. Also, you have comprehension issues - before the match a poll with 30,000+ participants had SA for the win.
A wicket is a wicket. When SA hammered WI, the bowlers were throwing up pies. When SA hammers SL, the SL batsmen gave it away. Give it up - you are a sore loser.
This is what I'd select, and we would definitely win!!! Amla, Miller, Faf, Farhaan, AB, Rilee, QdK(wk), JP, Vern, Steyn, Morkel. Since they won't select my XI they will lose! Picking four specialist bowlers or including Tahir who can't bat will not prevent SL fom scoring 340+ whether chasin or setting. I still find it disturbing that guys seem to underestimate the amount of experience Sang, Dilshan&Mahela have between them. Maybe if guys where to look at the total number of ODIs between Veen&Steyn - our best seamers - perhaps guys would understand what we're up against. I'd only feel safe batting up to eight. Afterall, we struggled to get 170&200 respectively against IND&PAK respectively, now we think guys will survive 30 direct yorkers and another 30 full wide yorkers from Malinga? Wishful. Faf doesn't want to open. Neither QdK or RR have played IPL. They open or come in at 2&3, Mathews will just give Dilshan the ball. QdK will go out, and RR will struggle with run rate. Faf won't pick it up from 4. Miller has played IPL, and batted higher in ENG too. He'll cope better.
You're trying to talk up the SCG against kings of Galle, Colombo, Kandy & Hambantota - Mahela&Sanga? Where totals over 250 are non-existent? What is Tahir at the SCG other than a potential liability?
If they can smash Tahir in spinner friendly conditions in SL, what on earth do you think they'll do to him at the SCG?
Against the West Indies Tahir was more expensive tha Steyn&Morkel. That's an insult for a tight spinner these days. He got the wickets, mostly because they wanted to take him on.
In my view he poses no threat to these giants. Phangiso would be better because you know he will contain. Tahir will lose it the moment they get on top of him - and they will. As a result AB will piss his pants because he needs a whole 10 overs out of him.
I say Tahir out, extra batsmen in, use JP(&Farhaan) who will fetch just as much but at least he can buy back the runs he leaks with his bat later...or before. They can afford to leak 140 runs between the two of them, then score at least 60 runs, which means they have effectively 4rpo run rate, but crucially those 60 runs came in valuable partnerships for the team.
There's a reason why allrounders are valuable, and that's why AUS&WI are still forces in ODIs&T20s.
I agree. On the back of his form it would be awkward to leave him out. But they've already made the right decision in acknowledging that Philander simply had to play ahead of Abbott who was doing well. That wasn't an easy decision.
The other tough decisions are to:
1. Drop QdK.
2. Drop Tahir (no matter how well he's doing, just like Abbott).
Steyn&Morkel need to be unleashed. We can't hope to win a QF and not give Steyn license to attack like Starc, Boult etc.
Morkel needs a mandate to utilise his full quota of boundaries, and they must be well directed.
Philander needs license to persist with his line no matter how much they settle and hit him because along the way a few of them will edge it.
Basically, we need 3 strike bowlers, with Farhaan&JP focusing solely on keeping things quiet as much as they can. Only wickets will win us this match.
Tahir is strike bowler. All these 3 guys have taught Shane Warne, Anil Kumble, Stuart McGill, Mushtaq Ahemd and most importanly Kaneria a lesson. Tahir pales in comparison to them. Bear in mind that Tahir is one of a number of Pakistan rejects who couldn't displace Kaneira in Pakistan.
Do you think the Sri Lankans even care about plans to Tahir? I don't think SL are even bothered about our attack as far as their battting plans are concerned. The only thing they are worried about is how to get Amla&AB out!
Lol, only saw Mr Z suggested dropping Tahir as an option. What the hell!? That makes absolutely no sense.
It will all return after NZ hand our a55es to us..![]()
Absolutely! The boys will be on a high now. The semi is in NZ which won't assist the bowlers as much as this track did, but nevertheless, we've got the attack to deal with any batting line up and now with Quinny in form, the batting is more solid.
