It looks to me like you're trying to convince me that someone who takes 3 wickets is better than someone who takes 11, purely because it helps to rank Abbott higher by economy rate. You guys try too hard!

Wait till shezi has stats like Abbott, and we'll see if there'll be harder calls for him to be dropped or arguments that he's better than Parnell.

I am playing with you. Parnell has potential. Abbott is not bad. I think he has been unlucky so far. He is not performing where he should be. The point is that you need to look a bit past Parnell. Perhaps he hasn't been managed properly but he is not performing. He keeps having these freakish innings where he goes for 9+. You can't do that, that costs you matches. It did, IMHO, in the last one. It looks to me to be a head thing. I think he needs to go back to provincial and build a bit of confidence.

Look at Tahir. He is, without a doubt, the worst test bowler SA have ever had, he has the worst average and the worst economy rate across all of the bowlers we have ever had, if I am not mistaken. Look at him now, he has found his niche. In T20's and ODI's he is shining.

Spinners are bowling quite a few dots as well.
