One of the worst weekends I've ever had in my life. **** this ****.

No-ones chased that many at this venue at night. If we'd been chasing a more reasonable total (275-ish) if Parnell went at 6 to the over, scoreboard pressure would have been much less.

Have to hand it to India though, their bowling performance has been miles ahead.
 
Well on the bright side, that message that caused "so much concern" about how the CWC was fixed got its first prediction wrong so now everybody can un-twist their panties a d get on with life.
 
India did play well, but we also made a lot of mistakes.

Playing WI before the tournament flattered us.
 
This game proves that you pick your best bowlers and don't try and balance with all rounders that are no where near the league of Kallis. Not picking the leading domestic bowler was stupid IMO
 
And we managed to screw up our Net Run Rate situation as well, which is handy in the knock out section.

It is always the pitch isn't it? Lets ignore the fact that India bowled dangerous lines, length and pace. Let's forget the fact that they batted patiently and made the best of the rubbish being bowled at them while we were throwing our bats around wildly.

How about those two dropped catches? Maybe it was the reckless running between the wickets?

Nope. The Australian groundsmen flew in a different pitch during the shortened break because we couldn't get our overs in despite 17 of them being spin.

...they had enough time/overs to pace themselves to 308 ...lets not blame it on the target.

However on the other hand you probably wont win it without a tail that can at least bat,,,,the Aussies down to #11 can all hold a bat.
