@ZCFOutkast What does "Neither QdK or RR have played IPL" mean?
Dilshan bowled just one over so young QdK was fortunate. By the time he came back it was check mate. Don't underestimate what could've happened. I still don't understand why Matthews took him off the attack.

And did happen in some far off parallel universe....but this side of bridge, it did not...-just love how on mybb the could've card is always played...

This is what I'd select, and we would definitely win!!! Amla, Miller, Faf, Farhaan, AB, Rilee, QdK(wk), JP, Vern, Steyn, Morkel. Since they won't select my XI they will lose! Picking four specialist bowlers or including Tahir who can't bat will not prevent SL fom scoring 340+ whether chasin or setting. I still find it disturbing that guys seem to underestimate the amount of experience Sang, Dilshan&Mahela have between them. Maybe if guys where to look at the total number of ODIs between Veen&Steyn - our best seamers - perhaps guys would understand what we're up against. I'd only feel safe batting up to eight. Afterall, we struggled to get 170&200 respectively against IND&PAK respectively, now we think guys will survive 30 direct yorkers and another 30 full wide yorkers from Malinga? Wishful. Faf doesn't want to open. Neither QdK or RR have played IPL. They open or come in at 2&3, Mathews will just give Dilshan the ball. QdK will go out, and RR will struggle with run rate. Faf won't pick it up from 4. Miller has played IPL, and batted higher in ENG too. He'll cope better.

This is what you posted. I don't understand what you mean by "Neither QdK or RR have played IPL"

When captains get clever with the spinners first ball up. Even Baz struggled against Sakib in the NZ-BD match. Doubt QdK/RR would've lasted for long with Dilshan in operation.

Scotland could've won the world cup if Morgan still played for Ireland and the Scots arrived on their unicorns and borrowed the Irish leprechauns, right?

By the off chance Proteas beat NZ in the semis someone else will be lurking. It never rains but pours!

NB: 1. SL lost to both NZ&AUS in the group phase. 2. NZ gave SA a hiding in the warm up game. 3. AUS whipped the Proteas so much that AB temporarily lost his marbles.

In one game he made nine bowling changes in the first 23 overs. In another he dispensed with third man for a few balls. It was described as “extremely brave” and a “massive but calculated gamble.” Turns out he’d just forgotten to put a man there.

When he moved boundary fielders by a matter of metres in between deliveries it was assumed that a combination of his genius and ‘gut feel’ were speaking to him in ways too mysterious for the rest of us to comprehend, or that he’d spotted something about the batsmen that the rest of us were blind to. His ‘creativity’ and innovative captaincy style began to look a little more like confusion than configuration.
