Yeah, but that's the point. That was a 400+ run pitch! Both teams were evenly matched. The South Africans over came scoreboard pressure and batted to their potential and chased down the score. 420 was par on the day. If SA had batted first and batted below their potential or Australia had bowled out of their skins we might have been all out for 250 and OZ would have won in 35 overs.

All I'm saying is expect the unexpected. We can't go into the game expecting to chase less than 300. We just can't. It will be fatal.

There's no ways we will chase down 300 at Eden Park against this NZ bowling attack, no ways on earth!! If NZ score more than 270 I won't bother watching the chase...

If they bat first we got to keep them below 250. Anything more and we going to battle bigtime...

Anyway, let's wait and see. I also reckon it's going to be relatively low scoring match. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it's a sub 200 affair... And don't think NZ can't bowl us out for 150 odd like they did against Australia... Do you think we can defend that with JP our 5th bowler? Christ, it will be agonizing to watch us try...

EDIT: Fck me!!! I don't have the stomach for a match decided in the last over!!!

I say Abbott.

I picked SA to win by 19 runs/4 wickets. Haven't locked my pick. Might change it to reflect a NZ win. A case of taking something positive out of what would personally be a very disappointing result. Did the same in the SL game.
 
11 hours to Game time.

Jesus, the players must be getting to bed. Imagine how they must feel? the pressure, the burden....
 
I see SABC 3 has it on at 5am, is it a delayed broadcast? Anyone have some more info to assist a poor man?

Proteas vs Black Caps : Big game in my new home town today (Auckland). This is a 1 off for the finals and only 1 team can pitch up today. Raining now but better predictions weather later on. Most of New Zealanders off work today.
