Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has picked three debutants in his starting XV for the first Test against England in Brisbane - but Karmichael Hunt will have to wait for a Test debut after missing out on selection.

Towering Brumbies second-rower Rory Arnold, Queensland Reds centre Samu Kerevi and Western Force utility back Dane Haylett-Petty have been named in the Wallabies starting side, while back-up halfback Nick Frisby will also earn a maiden Test cap off the bench.

Frisby is still young and has much potential. He mostly played under Will Genia.

Frisby and Kerevi was the best rated players in the National Rugby Championship. Kerevi came in at #1 and Frisby at second. I’m sure Cheika takes note.

Yeah, I was also a bit surprised by Frisby. But he's got some experience, 50+ caps in SR. And the other halfbacks are all quite inexperienced and young.

Maybe Stirzaker, but then I'd rather take Frisby for his versatility.

Very happy for Kerevi, though! Really deserve his shot.
