Yea my battery is killing it on 2.1 as well. But I am a bit paranoid when it comes to battery life. I never let it go below like 40%.

Wow, that is amazing with no USB charging?

No charging, tried to kill it last night but it wouldn't die before I needed to sleep. Got to over 8 hours 20 mins SOT with 13% battery left. Quite impressive indeed.

Nothing special either, I had no power saving on, no greenify, etc. Wifi was on, radio was on. Only thing not on obviously was mobile data because wifi was on the whole time.

CM 12 is based on Lollipop... *rubs hands*

It's tempting especially as Cloudy has stated that he does not know when/if he will bring the G3 Lollipop port out. :(

There is a zip file that adds the knock on/off feature which is the main reason why I never really used Cyanogen.

I'm willing to be a guinea pig if need be.

Do eeeeet! :D

I'm also keen, but I'm going to miss knock code. :( I guess just having knock on will be okay I guess, but the code is super convenient.

I turned off knock code and just use knock on. What does it add in terms of convenience for you?

With knock code there is only one step to unlock. With knock on/off you have to wake the screen then still enter code/pin. If you don't have pin or password then I find it often wakes the device by accident, especially in your pockets.

I've never really used knock code. It always felt like another step to logging onto my phone. (Yes, the security side was awesome, but I don't let anyone use my phone)

Right...
Downloading CM.

Will keep you updated during the day.

Awesome. I'm keen but I can't spend time trying to fix a borked rom flashing.

How do you only have 77 posts? It seems like I've seen your username forever on here.

It's actually really simple once you get used to it. Two extra finger taps compared to plain knock on and once you learn how to do it fast it's practically instant.

I've not been on here that long. Probably since the middle of the year. (Created my user in 2011 as you can see, but never utilised the forums)
99.9% of my posts are on this forum :p

So... It's installed and running.

Double tap to wake works with an added zip: http://www.mediafire.com/download/icnb1bu56nq4jb9/Turn_Knockon-On_G2.zip
Double tap to sleep works as well: Settings-->button settings-->double tap & change to sleep (Double tap on the home circle button now)

SU install: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133
Android 5.0 GAPPS: https://s.basketbuild.com/filedl/gapps?dl=gapps-lp-20141109-signed.zip

The Lollipop interface is not bad at all. The swipe down settings take a few seconds to get used to.

It's blazingly fast.

All in all, not bad actually. I'm going to stay on this for a while and see how it progresses.

Have you come across any glitches so far? I see there are a few like NFC and GPS being reported.

I got an Apollo FC during the setup process, which is no biggie as I don't use it. (Probably just need a re-install to get rid of that issue)

Other than that, nothing to speak of as yet.
Oh... There is no reboot to recovery option. Only Shutdown.

That's an annoying side issue which can be circumvented with an app download.

Noticed that you actually don't need double tap to wake as there is an option to turn on the screen when the phone is picked up...
I still like my double tap though.
