Can anyone recommend a good case/cover for the G2? Preferably at a store where I can use my eBucks.

I got the body glove. I dropped this thing plenty of times and no hastles. But it does make the phone look like a samsung of some other ugly piece of dirt because the case minimises the beauty of the small bezels.

Can Hangouts sync/backup SMSes to the cloud? If/when it does that Ill definitely switch to it... I'm currently just using a sock SMS messaging app.

I'm using Textra now. It can't schedule (a bummer), but it is really nice in all other ways.

Use SMS Backup+. Then you can use any messaging app.

I moved over to OptimusG3 2.0 - wait, no, just checked. CloudyG3 2.0, apparently.. Very nice, stable, no battery life issues. Based on the latest from both G2 and G3. That along with the Debloater makes for a very nice setup.

Apparently dev stopped on the Optimus G3 ROM as he had stolen code from Cloudy G3.
May be a good idea to not touch Optimus G3.

I see LG confirmed Android 5.0 will roll out first to G3 then to G2. I don't think it'll be too long before we start seeing 5.0 roms based on Nexus software over the next couple of months as well.

Yep, Lollipop source code has already been released, and the Nexus 5 images should be up pretty soon.

A number of differences, despite the similar chipsets. Devs will need to port across between the devices, but I see the likes of Paranoid Android and CM getting this done.
