"Official" Man City Supporters Thread

Yay, a thread for a team I actually support.

Remember when Ferguson said that players never get better after leaving Man Utd. Tevez proved you wrong you sour-grape :D???

hmm, you think?

Fergie said it while back btw. But then again Fergie is full of nonsense. Complains about extra time the other day after he was gifted all those minutes to win the game against Man City.

I think if you're the greatest manager ever, you should be allowed some idiosyncrasies.

I don't deny his ability at all but he is a bit of a sour grape sometimes :D

Hows about Rinus Michaels or Johan Cryuff who changed the way the beautiful game is played?

Rinus over Cruyff anyday. No Rinus - no Cruyff.

@Rhandir - while Fergie might be more successful than practically any manager ever - it does not mean he is a great manager. When we talk about the greatest managers of all time - you need to remember that the type of football we see being played nowadays was brought to us by greats such as Shankly, Busby, Michels, Cruyff etc etc...

Think about Fabio Capello and his AC Milan "Invincibles" who went on a 58 match unbeaten streak in the Serie A when it was the best league in the world - in addition to all the other honours he has won. What about Jock Stein? I'd Google that if I were you - words can't express what he managed to do... with a bunch of Scots. Brian Clough who made League Champions out of Derby and won (I think) two European Cups with Nottingham Forest...

Seriously... Fergie has won a lot... but in my eyes, Busby will always be tied with Michels for the top spot because of how HE transformed United and British football. Remember this - Ferguson might have made United into a world wide behemoth but none of that would have been possible had Sir Matt Busby not stayed on after the Munich Disaster and won that European Cup.

Brian Clough is a legend. I think he achieved two successive promotions with Nottingham Forest and then two consecutive Euro Cups.

No mention about Abedayor's goal against Bolton?

Stunning Stunning Stunning!!!!

Away at Burnley - 6 up after 63 minutes and the game might be abandoned and replayed due to a waterlogged pitch!! RAIN RAIN RAIN some more!!! Need Burnley to do us some favours....
