Lucas suffered from the same thing at Liverpool. He doesn't do anything flashy, he doesn't score cracking goals, but what he does do very well is read the game. He makes tackles, interceptions and distributes the ball. Only when a player like that goes missing do you realise how much he is actually needed.

Carrick is a good midfielder, it's painful that you can't see what he brings to the table.

Watched the repeat earlier.
We played schiaaat! Really lucky to come away with a win.
They looked like a bunch of amateurs!

Wow explain how a box-to-box Cleverley who is suppose to be everywhere and break up play only manage 1 tackle and 0 interception...

If you are any United supporter you should take off those blinkers and wake up Cleverley and Kagawa had a very off day, if you want to blame, blame evra for being such a #$%^ blame Cleverley for not creating any chances, blame Kagawa for such a terrible display. Blame Vidic for being out for so long, blame Lindgaard for such piss poor clearances/distribution when kicking the ball

I can handle not Flashy (Keano, Viera, et al) but what I cant handle is someone who doesnt even bother running FFS

Carrick is suppose to be our MF engine - it starts with him.
 
yo guys im new here but only really joined this forum for this thread LOL
so now at least u know where my allegiances lie GGMU!!!

so who watched monday night football on SS3 where the all wrote off United to winning the title....i enjoy that every season united is written off and all the haters sit in awe and amazement come the end of the season when Utd blow the rest away(bar last year ofcourse lol)

I absolutely blame them - had they still been playing we would not have Carrick and we would have a brilliant MF (and IM talking about them with regards to their current ages:D)
