Maybe Moyes is still finding what his best team is and the MF is the area where he is struggling the most to find some consistency. He did mention that the MF needs strengthening and you also have to note that SAF bought Kagawa and never used him all that much either. Some players are easier to pick given last season/s as Moyes could work off SAF but as mentioned Kagawa was never really settled even under SAF

Im not sure where to play Kagawa if Rooney and RvP are playing

Play him as goalie :D

Mata, Silva, Coutinho get by just fine...

Coutinho? really? he had what 2 good games and then feign injury :p besides I was only speculating - as that's what SAF does with any player not from the EPL - he makes them watch and wait before letting him play.

At the moment from what I can see Moyes doesn't believe that Kagawa is physically strong enough to defend and last 90 minutes...

Looks like RVP is out due to injury:

He was hobbling when he was substituted

Im happy he is out of the friendlies - hopefully all he needs is rest and can be back for our next game

Carrick might be offered a two year deal, rare for a United player over 30. He's also going to be out for a few weeks.

Jones is immense in midfield but unfortunately he doesn't have the composure that Carrick has.

Maybe so, but the energy and ability to get at opponents has been more valuable. Opponents arent able to put us under so much pressure. All Jones needs to do is give the ball to the "ball players" which he has been doing. Once the front players get the ball, esp higher up the pitch the opposition are on the back foot.

Another worker like Cleverly or ball winner like Fellaini next to him, means we can actually boss the MF or atleast compete compared to when we have composure and just sit back and get slaughtered

Best performance I've ever seen from Jones. I hope Arsenal asked him to empty out his back pocket so they could get Ozil back.

As I stated Jones should actually partner Carrick - He breaks down the opposition and give's the ball to Carrick to make that incisive pass forward, Carrick is good and closing down gaps and intercepting but he sucks at tackling.
I think Jones + Carrick partnership is the way forward whilst Fellaini gets his act together.

Then we can try the Jones + Fellaini partnership.

ATM Cleverley has been mediocre at best.

I just want to see them give Jones one role to focus on. We risk him becoming confused about his best position. While his versatility is a bonus, it can lead to his down fall. He has played CB, RB and CDM so far for us.

Im not sure what incisive forward pass you are talking about. Carrick will pass to the nearest available player as does Jones and Cleverly - Difference is, that Jones and Cleverly actually try and get the ball rather than waiting in a gap for the ball to come to them. The front men (wingers, strikers and at times the fullbacks) make the inrodes forward

What they also do is provide extra men in and around the box which makes it easier for the frontmen as they are packed with defenders.
