Still?!? I was hoping that he would be recovered after his OP atleast by now. Seems like a waste of money for me :( Will he even play this season?

Hargreaves was a big factor in the 07/08 season, helping us win the League and CL. When he's back in full form, he covers the back four brilliantly, and can also be used going forward, which is why every sports writer in the UK say they can't wait for him to be back for England.

No... it's because Owen is made from glass.

Do you remember Saha? Someone once said he could get injured stirring a cup of tea. I agree..

Owen had the unfortunate habit of injuring himself picking up the spoon. We'll see how he does this season.

The past two seasons was his worst, he was pretty good (injury wise) before that

No it's cos Liverpool broke Owen... now SAF is gluing him back together :D P.S don't forget how Moanrinho broke Peter Cech... now he's gotta live with that stupid rugby head brace...

you still on about that Stick?

Hopefully SAF will see Kuzchek > Foster
Its because we are used to a situation where have a top class keeper and when he is is at his end there are a couple of dodgy subs before his fulltime replacement
VDS is at his end so you know what comes next:eek:

Kusczak starts tonight - if he does well, Foster is out. Or so I hear...

ya but Maldini played till he was 40 odd ;)

So we can look around for a replacement in the interim... but Foster def needs to be benched!

I get butterflies in my stomach whenever I see someone taking a shot at Foster. I always assume he's gonna fluff it. Also he's a slow thinker. Both times in the derby when Tevez was charging down the ball, he takes forever to clear, with the first one bouncing off Tevez (which could've easily gone into the goal) and the second one ending up as a goal. Idiot.

His shot-stopping is not bad but his decision-making and distribution are shocking.

He fell over for the 3-3 Bellamy tap in, leaving him an empty net (albeit from a tight angle)

Still three weeks to vd Sar :(

Yeah he seems to fall over at any given opportunity. Looking at replays, he definitely slipped at Bellamy's second goal.

Anyway. Even at 38, VDS is so awesome. Just gotta love him :D

And at that age, he hasn't got long to go. What do we do after that (Given United's history at finding a replacement for our number 1 )

Yeah :/

Well Akinfeev seems like he would like to join and he's an awesome gk for such a young age.

Bot him and Nuer look like good options. If Foster keeps up these performances/and Kuzchack fails to impress than I reckon that we will go for one of them either in the January transfer window of definitely in the off season transfer window

If we buy Akinfeev in the January transfer window, will he be able to play in the CL seeing as he's already playing in it with CSKA Moscow?

Nope, but we will have VDS back and Akinfeev can warm up to the side in the mean time (EPL, Carling Cup, FA cup). If CSKA Moscow are still in the Champs league by then, I think he might postpone till end off season:erm:

until they start training with the United coaches... methinks United needs better GK coaches... VDS only came to United when he had all the skillz...

Yeah he was awesome at Ajax as well. One of the reasons they won the CL 2 years in a row.
