Cantera only you hail a player as god after 1 performance don't project your ideas on other people :D

He disappeared cos he was rested... SAF used him sparingly as he will do again this season there's what 40 odd matches in a season giggs will be lucky to see half those matches - it's SAF policy to keep them playing for as long as possible

True story.

I have never said a player is a GOD after one game. Find where i said it - prove it

Anyways, Giggs is playing brilliantly at the moment.

I don't think anyone wants to go through all your old posts as Genius. dude... I'm pretty sure he/you did say it.

They are all gods!!!

They are footballing gods!

Problem with Iniesta is that he was always in the shadow of Xavi. That is what i said. Stop trying to twist my words so they can suit you.

Maybe I can help and clear this up. I seem to remember that Cantera did NOT say that Ibra is/was a GOD. He said that Journo's and supporters (Inter?) were calling him a GOD.

BTW, there is only one GOD and he plays for North Queensland Fury.

Rofl at bottom of post. I was having a huge argument with my best mate this weekend about who is better... Iniesta or Xavi. I went for Xavi. What do you think?

Xavi was always the centre of Barca. Iniesta was sadly almost like his side kick.

Last season was the first time when Iniesta stood up and stole the show from Xavi. Why do you think Barca supporters LOVE Iniesta so much?

He never ever got the full credit - it was always Xavi.

But to answer your question. Its hard to choose between the two, but Xavi deserves all the credit he gets. He is the best central midfielder in the world.

Every single Barca attack goes through him. Also something that is important to note is that Xavi or Iniesta is not as dangerous when they dont play together.

They go together like salt and pepper..... like fish and chips....

Iniesta is bladdy brilliant, but Xavi is just... Xavi. I mean his passing is so brilliant. It's otherworldly.

I think Xavi's distribution of the ball and the ability to make the team move foward ALL THE TIME is what makes him.

Take the killer passes out of the equation. Just the fact that he gets the ball in midfield, NEVER loses it - and switches play from right to left or left to right or through the middle etc.

...but lets hope Iniesta continues where he left off last season. He is starting his first game tonight since the CL final last season.

My sentiments exactly, there's a Barca thread for this:erm:

Besides Scholes (at the same age; in fact now even) is a better passer, better striker of the ball and better goal scorer than both of them Spaniards

That's the thing. His overall passing and midfield control is so sublime that it defies belief. Iniesta, while an amazing attacker, needs someone like Xavi to be able to... be himself.

What an epic derail:D
