Randhir, for the sake of this thread i will rather not.

If you want to debate about Xavi vs Scholes - start a thread and we can share our views on the two players.

I think you should continue this here. This United thread has lasted far too long...

United keep tabs on Patricio

Rui Patricio's agent claims Manchester United have been watching the Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper for the past couple of seasons.

The 21-year-old is highly rated in his homeland and has reportedly been a target for United from the time Carlos Queiroz was Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant.

Queiroz left Old Trafford in 2008 to become Portugal's national team coach and Patricio is a regular member of his squad.

Reports are claiming United are lining up Patricio as a potential long-term replacement for Edwin van der Sar, who is tipped to retire at the end of the season.

Patricio's representative Carlos Goncalves confirmed the Premier League champions have been scouting the Sporting shot-stopper.

Goncalves told A Bola: "It is true that he has been watched, ever since Queiroz was with Manchester United."

Though Patricio has yet to make his senior debut for the national team, he was also part of former coach Luiz Felipe Scolari's squad for Euro 2008.

And the promising shot-stopper made his UEFA Champions League debut against United almost two years ago in a 2-1 group stage defeat at Old Trafford.

If i responded, this thread would have never ended.

Funny, seems like a sort of response to me  Lol. Why didn't you just answer the question then?

“Yes, of course,” Ferguson said when asked if Nani needed to learn from watching Giggs play. “Ryan’s intelligence was the deciding factor.” Similarly, Michael Carrick and Anderson, both of whom started on the substitutes’ bench, could do worse than examine in detail Scholes’s game.

Wake up dude. Scholes is no where near Xavi's level. Is your United tinted glasses blinding you that much?
LMAO and the Genius comments comes out :D

Scholes and Giggs way too underrated...

Giggs: only because he never played for a country that made it that big, i.e England, Italy, Brazil, etc.

Scholes is just underrated cos he cut his International career short in favour of United

Whatever dude. Giggs was never ever underrated. He has performed amazingly for years now. The only reason he hasn't won as many plaudits as did, for example, Ronaldinho or Karka is because of his country. Imagine what England would have been like 10 years ago with a left winger like Giggs. It was one of the hottest topics on the table at the time. They could have owned.

*sigh

Imagine England with Giggs. Awesome. That could have made the difference.
