Trust me, it has. It's just that not winning anything makes you question the motives behind your club not "actively" doing anything about it. If Arsenal had won a trophy with our limited on field resources, we'd possibly go down as the greatest club in the history of the EPL. But, we all know that didn't happen. Understanding a bit more about why we've had this drought has definitely taken the sting off things. I was won of those who was on the #WengerOut and "spend some ****ing money" bandwagon. It's frustrating being a Gooner no doubt: being one of the dominant teams in the league for so many years, then for almost a decade, just scraping into the CL every season. But, it's all part of the bigger picture. Much bigger than a football fan's (or player's, for that matter) desire to win a trophy: one of the best stadia in world football almost paid up and one of the biggest kit sponsorships in history. Arsenal will be a financial power house, able to sign (I hope!) some of the best players on the market using (and here's he most important thing) our OWN money. So yes, I'd have to say the frustration and heartache is probably going to be worth it, now that I understand what's been happening behind the scenes.
Of course, Arsenal PR could've handled things a bit better. "We're not seriously going to compete for anything in the next few years while we pay off our flash new stadium, so sit tight, the good times will come rolling in again when we're debt free" would've been better than just silence. Our rivals, of course, overtook us spectacularly. But we'll be back.
