Yeah.
Not much he could do for the Valencia goal but he has great reflexes and always charges the ball down. Plus he's only 23

Wasn't much to watch really. Akinfeev looks like a good summer signing.
lol no I want SIlva first! besides signing anyone second to EVDS now is just gotta let the keeper coach poison their ability... we need a established keeper or perhaps overhaul the current coaching staff (goal keeper coaching staff)

Exactly. He's only like 24 too. The only real other interesting keepers are Asenjo and Mandanda... Akinfeev has the experience though. Wonder how much CSKA will want for him.
What about Jesus Navas?
lol dude @ 23 he's gonna come in the summer sit on the bench get corrupted by the coaching staff and then play like Kuzchek and Foster...
Kuzchek was getting better and better but dunno wtf happened he started playing like FOster... Foster on the other hand has no excuse he doesn't have a brain
We need one with strong mind and ability like VDS
look at Howard, Bathiez, Bosnich, blah blah blah... there's definately something wrong with the coaching staff somewhere... How is it possible Howard showed so much promised only to get sold to Everton... he was/has lots of potential hell he's even doing better at Everton than at United...

Mmmm... as far-fetched as that sounds, you may have an outrageous point.
But isn't Eric Steele the goalkeeping coach? Besides, I think if VDS retires he'll take up the GK'ing coach job...
