what's really the point? you expecting each and every single team in Italy, Spain, England, Germany, Poland, blah blah blah to develop their own players to international superstardom level?

Following another year of training, he moved to the famed Clairefontaine academy in order to further his development

Given Obertan was developed by Clairefontaine so what? that's like you working for a company learning tricks of the trade only to move to another company... why? the new company is going to either develop you further or pay you better... what would you choose? sit around at the same place and never improve or get paid better?

Moving to a bigger better club is only natural - it's cos they have the capability to win trophies!

If Iniesta were to move to Chelsea, Xavi to Lyon, Bojan to Inter Milan - can those clubs claim to have developed them?

Dont hate cos United cannot develop players. The last crop to come out of the United camp was Giggs, Beckham, Scholes etc.

That was almost 15 years ago.

United has a current crop of youngsters.... Kieran Richardson flopped, Lee Martin was a prospect but nothing happened, there's also Danny Wellback, Darren Gibson, et

Actually, according to current UK rules - neither Giggs nor BEckham would have been eligible to join United at the ages they signed. Don't know about Scholes though. Stupid stupid rule.

No, his logic was that when you're at a youngish age, it's only natural to move on to a bigger better company in order to develop further. Your example is in some ways is completely the opposite. Xavi to Lyon....haha.....that is like a demotion. Barcelona are the No.1 team in the world at the moment. Your example is ****e.

Why is it clueless? Wenger coached Henry as a youngster. He went to the elite youth academy, the same one that Obertan went to.

Wenger was criticised for spending so much money for Henry. Why would he spend so much money for an unknown player?

Stop hating. Produce your own damn players, then you will get the respect you deserve. If you keep on poaching players other clubs produce, you will never get respect for developing players.

You are the one who is clueless. Cesc to Arsenal is a demotion. Whats your point? Cesc will always be known as being from the school of Barcelona. He says it himself. Barca made him, hence why he will come back eventually.
 
You can't just blame United for "poaching". Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Madrid, Milan, Inter, Juve, Lyon, Bayern even Man City nowadays. (Super) Clubs all over Europe do it. Even Barca for crying out loud. Don't hit out at United or Sir Alex for recognising talent at an early age. There's no law against buying a good player.

What's the deal with fans smoking other clubs nowadays for no good reason???

Just watch football because you enjoy it! I couldn't give a donkey's donkey who is on the field of play, as long as it's a match worth watching, or one of the teams happen to be Man United.

Fact is English clubs poach the most in Europe. They rely on other clubs making the players, then they buy them.

There is no law, but there should be. 6+5 should come in already. Then we will see who the real poachers are.
