lol probably SAF is not happy with him doing all these afterhour stuff ;)
 
Good game, definite red card though. Great goal by Owen, Anderson played well, and I liked the way that Macheda was so comfortable on the ball.

Best part of the match -> The two lighties that scored the goal at the end :D

Yeah good game all-round:
Anderson looks like he could partner Fletch as our mainstay MF duo.
Obertan looked good in the start but his lack of fitness showed in the end (but he really looks like he could slot right in).
Agree Kiko looked so accomplished on the ball
WOW! Tosic really looks like he should be our LW, amazing how he doesn't get into the first team:eek:

Our youngguns really look like they have lots of firepower (bodes well for the future:))

Anderson is meh.He is so average I cannot believe he is still in the squad,he has had a few flashes of brilliance but othing to warrant a place in the first team.

He's actually not bad, except for his shooting. His closing down, his distribution and his energy on the pitch is quite good. He's been helping out a lot, and he gave Owen the pass for the goal yesterday. Quite an astute ball as well.
 
Not saying he is bad,just saying he is very average.Carrick is better imo,anderson does have a wicked accurate long pass though.
 
Just goes to show, the little RAT only cares about himself and playing for England. He makes my blood boil he does.

Owen bewildered by match ratings

Manchester United striker Michael Owen says he is confused by people's expectations of him.

The 29-year-old, who scored his third goal of the season in Tuesday's Carling Cup win against Barnsley, has been surprised by some of his match ratings.

"I started against Bolton and thought I played well, then looked at the papers and was given three or four," he said.

"But in this game [against Barnsley] I played pretty average and I'll probably get seven."

Owen scored with a clinical finish in the 59th minute at Oakwell in the fourth-round tie.

The former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker received ratings around the seven and eight mark for his performance.

"A start and a goal, you can't ask for more than that. It is how people judge me, unfortunately," he added.

"I think I deserved a five in this game and seven or eight from the Bolton game [United's 2-1 league win on 17 October]."

Owen, who joined the Premier League champions from Newcastle United on a free transfer in the summer, is still pushing for a place in Fabio Capello's England squad for the World Cup finals in 2010.

We have won the last two comfortably with only ten men...

Also, if Neville G is going to be sent of for getting the ball completely but in a dangerous manner, why on earth was Carragher not sent off for going over the ball on Carrick, IN the box?

He would have made a great championship striker :D (owen)

I'm just saying thats there is nothing special about anderson.Not saying he had a poor performance or anything,talking about his general performance.
