nah wouldn't say useless but the level in class is too far, the last time Kaizer Cheifs and Pirates could barely scrap a win against the second string team when Scholes stepped into the game it was Scholes vs a 6-0-4 formation lol

hahaha ....i have never been to a PSL game live cause i cant stand the play

but yeah i think its more a exercise to get familiar with the team and get fitness levels up
 
Joao seems like a great signing but we already have Kagawa... what we need is a backup Carrick and a box to box CM

well he is more a cm then a cam IMP ...so he will be good cover for kagawa and carrick

i say keep carrick tho in the startlng line up

i feel we need another winger tho ...giggs cant play there anymore and nani can be cover more for the right than for the left

I didn't say replace Carrick I said backup aka understudy :) Carrick is 31 so a decent youngster to play in his posi would be welcomed, remember what happened when he was out in the beginning of last season

moutinho is 26 ...not to much as young as clevs but tons of experience i say
 
so Sir Alex says he didnt treat Berba unfairly this past year... :|, dont know what i think of that tbh.

Still, its good that we will get to see him and that he is seemingly still a United player

Yeah he hasn't officially signed yet, but Fergie has said good riddance to him.

I honestly can't believe he's going to Juventus. If he had stayed at United, he would have featured a lot more this season.
 
New numbers for trio

Antonio Valencia will wear the iconic no.7 shirt for Manchester United in 2012/13.

ManUtd.com can also reveal that summer signings Nick Powell and Shinji Kagawa will wear no.25 and no.26 respectively.

Ecuador winger Valencia requested the no.7 shirt - worn previously by United legends such as George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo - following Michael Owen's departure this summer.

The Reds' remaining squad numbers for the 2012/13 season are yet to be confirmed.

Manchester United has applied to list on the US stock market in a share sale aimed at raising $100m (£64m).
In documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Premier League giant said it was listing on the New York Stock Exchange.
The club had earlier explored the possibility of a $1bn floatation on the Singapore stock market.
United, among the best-supported clubs in the world, said it would use money from the listing to repay debt.
The club has been controlled since 2005 by the Glazer family, the billionaire US sports investors who also own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers American football franchise.
But the club has in recent years been weighed down with heavy debts despite its huge global fan base and promotional and marketing efforts.
"We intend to use all of our net proceeds from this offering to reduce our indebtedness," the prospectus filed with the SEC said.
In September United received approval for a share sale in Singapore, but the process was delayed because of volatility in the stock markets.
Several high-profile flotations have been pulled in recent months as investor appetite has been dampened by the European debt crisis and worries that Asian economies are slowing.

100 mil figure is simply a place holder so theyr looking at raising alot more capital, probably around 300 mil.

Not sure what you mean by this.....,an ipo wouldnt raise more volatility as the capital injection would be used to clear all remaining debts as stated.Obviously this is assuming the ipo goes off smoothly and doesnt do a facebook:erm:

Any listing is prone to volatily...

Its a risk...could pay off or go sour...time will tell !!!
 
Yes im aware , my point is listing the company doesnt make Uniteds debt situation any worse than it currently is , one of two things can happen either the ipo falls flat and as a result wer stuck with the debt or it goes according to plan and wer able to pay off a significant portion of it thus leading to United once again competing with the very best in the transfer market.:)

But im sure as a die hard Pool surpporter ul be hoping for the former:D

No way in hell investors can be sure.
There are too many variables in play...

Don't forget external forces that could influence the listing...

Wall street just needs to catch another cold and investors will run towards gold, not a sports franchise.
 
I'm not exactly sure of the details but how can they float it on the stock market in the US, if the company is registered in the Cayman Islands?

Maybe I don't really understand how stock markets work :D
