We had some full TDM rounds from about 8-10 last night at RIG .... 7 is still early for most, lol, they're all still in cod4 at that time :D

that is weird, I was playing on rig last night, they mainly play in TDM and FFA, sometimes stimulus
 
Well if tonight steam is still fubar, then I'll try swing a game on Rig, lol after 8!! Do u guys pay HC TDM? Also I'm on a ****ty level one fo AlterIWNet :(

I have not reloaded COD4 since putting Win7 X64 on my pc, maybe I should do it again! Do u guys use teamspeak to chat?

Aye there is a TS server but I've never really bothered with it in Cod .... it's like I need more focus in Cod than in MW2 :o We don't play HC TDM as yet, purely because 90% of the players are still noobs / getting to grips with MW2 but obviously as it gets more ingrained, it'll be played .... much like how now the 'in thing' is to play Stimulus because they have finally woken up and d/loaded and installed the DLC and found it's cool. All in all, we're purely still in the fun stage of playing ...... hopefully soon our clans will start getting into it more.
 
How do u guys organise / communicate in game? And damn, I'm an HC whore! I suck at normal play...so used to killing with one or two shots, I forget to keep shooting in order to kill while playing SC :(

The main (and probably only) reason I hate HC is the campers ...... man, camping gets to me in normal play so in HC it just reaches boiling point. Like I said, it's only in MW2 that I bother with Voice or if I'm doing a clannie in Cod4, I'll make the effort to use the TS.
 
These new maps, are going to take some time to get use to. Carnival is huge!!!!! and alot of places to hide/duck under. I think Fuel is even bigger..... so alot of running ahead!!!
the old COD4 maps is the same layout, but looks quite different

they actually upped the graphics?
 
Yes lighting was done a bit better and some tweak here and there. Fuel is the biggest cod map as of yet. Bigger than overgrown. Carnival is by far my favourite mw2 map atm. Its insanely confusing with so many spots, just awesome. And let me tell you, Spas wars on Trailer Park. Nothing better.

2 more days, 2 more days, 2 more days ...... can't wait to play them, especially now that gfx are back to being purdy :D
 
I tried last night..Nothing seem to have worked....So I eventually left it to download....
 
Download GCFscape and tell me when your finished downloading your maps. Ill direct you what to do. It would seem that many players' steam didnt extract the maps to the correct place or at all so when they want to play a new map the game just fails. Using this program you can extract the maps to the correct folder and prob fixed.
 
Did the same deleted the ncf and gcf files re-downloaded the files now it works perfectly.
 
Not having any luck here...The maps are downloaded...but every time i try to launch the game it won't launch. Steam tries to download 1.4GB now... even though the entire game is on my HDD. If I don't have any luck tonight I will re-install or try to get the game from my mate...
