Hey man,

LancelotSA has been banned from MyBB, so unless he still "roams" around here, I don't think he's going to get this. But yes, I agree, this is a very nice phone. I, personally, am looking into the HTC Desire HD...but we'll see how things work out. If it's not the HTC, it will be the N8.

Shame!

I have both and I enjoy both. So the HTC are my toy and the N8 my robust workhorse. It's that simple.

Nah, I don't really know...I think he had some fall out with a mod or something, I'm not really sure. A lot people didn't seem to like him much (or at least what he had to say) and accused him of trolling and the sort...but I don't know. I personally enjoyed reading, what he had to say. :erm:

Hell, thanks for the link. I thought my pic's was looking a bit washed out for a 12 Mega pixel cam. Now I am overjoyed. :)

I got scared to try it when the 0% and 100% was mentioned. Will give it a try maybe.
 
Can Anybody tell me where Can I get N8 on Vodacom contract in Cape Town Northern Suburbs? Waiting from November 2010 and still no luck getting one.

Mines set to 99%...
Don't think it goes to 100% but I stupidly ignored my own advice and set to the lowest which is 1% and then I had a black screen... So I had to restart to see anything again but when I restarted it wasn't as bright as the app made it so I opened the app again but then my screen went black again, so instead of uninstall and reinstall I did what I read somewhere and connected it up the the TV via the cable from my N82 and then I could see what was what, was quite tricky navigating menus by sight because of the touch screen but now everything is back to normal... :)
 
I just installed SPB shell lite on a N8. Nice. I like it.
 
wow never actually knew this phone was weirdly priced, i only say weirdly because what other devices do you compare it to then?

Can't you ask your local branch to source you one? I know that the Vodacom4U in Northgate mall have N8s' in stock.
 
Just downloaded the update for Ovi Maps via the Ovi Suite... haven't tried it out yet but am impressed because it has pinch/zoom which the one that came with the phone didn't have...
 
I don't know if we are allowed to post links to other forums here but I have a link to a post on a forum with a mod pack for the N8 which allows some pretty nifty features such as improved kinetic scrolling, calling in landscape mode, muting the camera shutter etc...

If someone can let me know if we allowed pasting links to other forums here I'll post it, otherwise just pm me...
 
cant wait for my N8! looks like a great phone. upgrading from N79. however i have to wait a few weeks because of the backlog. the guy who helped me at vodashop liberty midlands said that there is about 120 people ahead of me.
