What is the product code of your phone if I may ask? Is it from MTN?
 
Swype doesn't work with split screen portrait qwerty - it reverts to full screen portrait qwerty. That's about the only gripe I have so far, but I'm sure that Swype will release an update soon enough.

I'm with MTN and my download size via Ovi was 276 MB as well. I'm not sure how much of a difference the operator makes here as all phones are not network locked.
 
BTW for those who are having issues with the split screen not working in conversation threads (but it works for individual messages), and you're not using the Swype input method, you'll need to open Application Manager and uninstall Conversation Appl and Conversation Server.
 
so i updated and was playing with th phone, there were 2 new aps, signal booster and software install(or something like that) So I clicked on them, got an error and now those apps are gone? happen to anyone else?and if not what are those aps for?
 
I 'm trying to update my phone using ovi suite but i only get a list of applications to install and not the phone software,sos

I had the exact same thing... no idea what they were there for??? Just disappeared after clicking on them...

the link is on the ovi home page on your left just below the icons on top,the blue update link seemingly takes you to ovi store

what do you mean ? it was released as an official update, Check if you connect you phone to your pc and start up OVI Suite, click on the updates icon
I'm guessing (and this always happens when a software update from nokia comes out) The vodacom branded phones are a few days behind mtn

I did and i dont see any update through ovi suite and also through software update on the phone. BTW my phone is from Vodacom.
 
No update available for me on OVI suite. Did u have to do anything special? Did u get the phone from Vodacom or MTN? I am not sure if it makes any difference.
