Official NOKIA N8 thread

If you know how to sign .sis files I would definitely recommend you sign and install this KS (Kinetic Scrolling) mod - makes scrolling everywhere a million times better and smother IMHO...
EDIT: This file is only for Anna updated phones..
If you want a version for older S^3 updates let me know...

I got a Nokia branded holder at Chatz. I'm sure it was closer to R300. At least it is "universal" so I could use it for other types of phones later on. It is not made for the N8 alone.

the first update is for the ovi suite of about 63mb,maybe you have to do that first

The Symbian Anna update is versioned 22.014. Updates are available based on device product code. Type *#0000# into your N8, note the product code and see if it appears in this list. If so, the Anna update is currently available for your device! :D
 
First time I have seen the ui on the N8, more stolen ideas from android please...
 
If UI ideas were stolen from Android, Google would've sued Nokia. Clearly.

Really? so the pull down bar with status updates and activation settings is not directly from android?
Google are smarter than that, they are probably playing it out.

And the interface is not Android! It is HTC Sense. Kinda. :-)

if they paying its not stolen - the funy thing is Nokia has alot of patents that they not using that other phone manufacturers are - Like Apple - who has to actualy pay them

but you confusing two diferent updates, Anna doesbnt have the pull down menu - Bella does
Bella is not oficialy out yet. and if it is stolen from android google will sue, if they are using it leagly they pay HTC for it i dont see the problem
