hi guys, i searched the forum but came up with nothing. is there a local mirror for firmware update 3.1? thanks
 
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but does anyone know where I can get a ps3 slim? Not pre-order one but actually buy one now? Kalahari promised them on their site early September and I see they still say out of stock...
 
I know Kalahari did get their stock, but it was all already sold out just on pre-orders. Some retailers may have stock, but most places in my area like BT games i know are all sold out. Best bet is prob to phone around, places like Musica or Look and Listen etc.
 
Saw Pick n Pay at Steeldale had some in stock. Both phat & slim. Last time I saw the 80GB phat was going for R2999.00.

considering for +- 700 u can get the new one?
i went this weekend to get it but apparently they all sold out
 
well ive heard of the bravia sync working with samsung tvs but do you think it ll work with lg ones?
that would be the only reason to get the slim over the phat for me

I also heard about that as well. I don't really know much about it but I am sure they will start popping up around forums. If it is true for Samsung, then maybe for most manufacturers? Pushing my luck there though! ;)
 
I just read the UK is getting a 250GB slim bundle with FIFA 10 for £299.99
Thats cheap even in our money, yet we're still getting shafted.
Musica will be selling a 250GB for R4500

Should work on mine too then :) I'm sure its just the size that are diff on the tv's! Well reggies says they have, although the lady didn't really sound like she knew what I was speaking about, so will have to go have a look sometime this week! how exciting!

I dont think I'd bother paying that much extra for the 250GB version as it says the ps3 slim is easily upgradeable (the harddrive), could just get a much bigger one and DIY.
 
Stix, doesn't seem like you can get them for under R3799, only on kalahari.net and they're just about permanently sold out... some places are a bit more expensive but R3799 seems the norm here in East London and online...
 
Hi all

I have a Playtime Multimedia player hooked up via USB to my PS3. It has 4 folders: Music, Movies, Pictures, Games. This way the PS3 picks up the multimedia content automatically.

Since the last firmware update, when I click on Movies, the existing folders come up (for series, movies, etc.). But when I navigate to the folders themselves, they are blank.

I then have to go out of the folder, click on options and then select 'View All' before I can see the items in that folder.

Anyone else have this issue since the last firmware update about 2 weeks ago?

I'm not sure about that as I've not gotten my ps3 yet, but just a question you might be able to answer Naks, I have a 1TB external harddrive, also with folders for movies, series etc... do I just plug this into the ps3's usb and it will pick it up automatically?
