If you have the ps3 connected to a router with NAS would the ps3 be able to play back the content usually(transcoding) with the pc being off and not running Tversity or Ps3media.org programs?

Hi all,
I dont know if this is the right place to be asking this,
But is a Playstation 3 from Dubai compatible in South Africa?
I use PS3 Media Server and find that streaming HD content is a real bitch with constant stuttering.
Is this due to my router, TP Link (forget the model) or my laptop?
Any way to fix this?
Hi everyone,
Let me first start off by saying that I am not a serious gamer by any means!
I recently got myself a Onkyo HT-S5405 which supports Dolby TrueHD as well as DTS HD and a million other formats.
What I am wanting to know is how to I set up the audio settings on my PS3 so that I can get the best possible audio when watchin a Blu ray or playing a PS3 game??
Thanks in advance!
Maybe someone can help.
The PS3 can only see FAT formatted drives, not NTFS. How can I get large movies, 4GB and up, on my PS3 to watch them? And can the PS3 playback .mkv files?
Is the PS3 backwards compatible with both PS2 And PS1 games, just PS2 or neither?
The latest PS3s (Slim models) can still play PS1 games. The ability to play PS2 games was removed.Early 80gig and 60gig models were backwards compatible. However, this function was removed. However, and i stand to be corrected, PS1 and PS2 games downloaded off PSN will play on PS3.
...A friend of mine recently got the game, we invite each other to play but it constantly gives an error saying we either have a connection problem or the game session no longer exits.
Ive searched other forums, and the the posts say RDR was updated almost a year ago.
Any help would be much appreciated.
