Official Super Rugby 2016 Thread

As much as I'd love the Lions to win this competition, there's just no way it's going to happen. The NZ teams are just a notch above "the rest of us". <- Captain Obvious
So prepare yourselves to say goodbye. (If not today, then definitely the next one.)

That said, the Lions can be extremely proud of what they've achieved this season. I've always liked them -'cept when they play the Stormers or the Cheetahs, but otherwise always root for them.

C'mon Lions! :)

I don't want to go against the grain here, but both teams seems a little.... static.? Just now and again a break is made, but overall, not extremely enterprising.

Dare I say, very stampkar at times.

Teams in semi's and finals seem to be very conservative and games usually pretty boring and that is the Lions gap.
They have a slight chance but hey if Iceland can beat England......

Wow, my team was disappointing to watch. Sam Cane, dropping the discipline, giving opportunity to the opposition? So many opportunities gone to waste. Well done by the Hurricanes, strong message sent out to next weekend’s opposition.

However, Gardner, what was up with advantaging the Hurricanes, blind to the relentless high-tackles. Thanks to Jackson and Skeen to answer to the deliberate knock-down. At the end, the Hurricanes won by applying the pressure.

This was two enterprising teams going up against each other, the play on both sides was clear to keep the ball in possession.

Do the Lions still think it was a good idea to play B team against Jaguares? Bye bye home final. (And you didn't need benefit of hindsight.)

The Lions has two advantages over the Hurricanes, scrums and lineouts. They still need a win over the most tactical team in New Zealand rugby to get to the Hurricanes.
